Saturday is Caption Day – 18th October 2014

Last weekend we took a trip out to Moors Valley where we completed the Gruffalo Child’s Trail.

The kids were really tired after a monster walk, but the sight of this Gorilla outside Go Ape caused them to find that little bit of hidden energy and mess around, posing for silly photo’s.

We had been to a craft party the day before and Eliza had made Isaac these glasses which he had kept on all along the trail, much to the amusement of everyone that saw him, but he explained that they were his magic Gruffalo hunting glasses and who were we to argue.

This week it is my turn to host the #satcap linky so please join in below and next week it is rocknrollmum’s turn!

Saturday is Caption Day – 11th October 2014

Last week my good friend Joanne from Charliemoos and I got together and took the smallest of our respective clans to Farmer Palmers for a day out, whilst the older kids were on their Beavers trips.

We had a fabulous day out and the kids loved playing on all the equipment and meeting the animals.

One of the activities was feeding the sheep and much to Sebby’s disgust there was a rather persistent one who was demanding all the attention and kept jumping up onto the hay bales where we were sitting.

Saturday is Caption Day – 4th October 2014

A couple of weeks ago we took a trip to Milestones Museum in Basingstoke, where the kids got to experience what life was like in wartime Britain.

Isaac and Eliza were most fascinated by an old toy shop and spent what felt like ages asking questions about the toys on display.

When we finally ventured outside we found two mannequins looking in the window and Eliza’s reaction is classic, but what to you think she is saying?

Saturday is Caption Day – 27th September 2014

This week we went to the opening of the fabulous new play barn at Farmer Palmers, which the kids adored as it has lots of role play equipment, a large curly slide and a sensory wall of lights and mirrors.

We did get outside to explore the farm too and fed some lambs, charged around on go karts (my legs still ache) and bounced on the bouncy castles before heading back home for dinner.

I got lots of fun photo’s, but Isaac driving Farmer Palmers tractor makes the perfect #satcap picture.

Next week it’s rocknrollmum‘s turn to host satcap, but this week it is my go, so do your very best with this:

Saturday is Caption Day – 20th September 2014

I am currently a little crazed having had just four hours sleep last night.

It was, however, all worth it as I attended the MADBlogAwards in London where I got to mingle with some of my favourite bloggers and meet some I had admired from afar.

The host with the most was the every so lovely Dr Ranj and I did manage to steal a photo with him, although we were rudely interrupted by a large yellow creature known as Pikachu.

I am not sure if Isaac is more impressed that I met Dr Ranj or Pikachu, but for now can you caption this photobomb?

We have found a stunning new park locally which the kids adore.

It is called the Treasure Island Park as it is sat atop Smugglers Chine in Poole, Dorset and, as you have probably guessed by the name, it is packed full of Pirate themed fun.

The older kids love playing on the swings and climbing the shipwreck but the only thing that is there for Sebastian are the swings.

He was itching to explore so I let him loose and he shot off like a rocket, heading straight for the treasure chest on his hands and knees.

Satcap is being hosted over at rocknrollmum this week so once you have captioned this, head on over for some more fun!

Saturday is Caption Day – 6th September 2014

I have been a fan of Saturday is Caption Day for almost as long as I have been blogging and, without checking, I am pretty sure I have never missed a week so I may have done a happy dance when I was invited to join in with hosting the weekly linky alongside rocknrollmum and keynko.

I have made my own badge with one of my favourite #satcap photo’s on of all time, but won’t be offended if you wish to continue using Annie’s!

Next week it’s rocknrollmum‘s turn to host satcap, but this week it is my go, so do your very best with this beauty that was taken just after the Vulcan flew at Bournemouth Air Festival last weekend!

We love Bournemouth Airfest!

Held annually, it is four days of free fun at the beach where you get to watch the planes fly, as well as visiting various stands with fun stuff to do with the kids.

There is a huge military presence, with tanks, armoured vehicles, boats and even a Chinook helicopter for the kids to clamber aboard and explore.

Isaac especially loved this tank and told his new role of Squadron Leader very seriously!

This week saw hubby and Kian visit the Sky Studios at the O2 where they had a blast taking on the Soccer AM carpark challenge, posing with the Premier League trophy and posing with their favourite stars, all thanks to a clever green screen.

We adore the program “A League of their Own” with its mix of sport and comedy with Jamie Redknapp, Freddie Flintoff, Jack Whitehall, and special guests.

James Corden is great as the host of the mad cap show, so hubby couldn’t resist playing along in this pic!

Wonder what was being said to get this reaction?

Last weekend we broke out our season passes and headed to Paultons Park.

Admittedly we don’t normally go in high season as it is very busy, but we did all the big rides by lunchtime and I actually got to go on some myself for a change!

Isaac and Eliza were desperate to play in the Muddy Puddles Splash Park, but I am not quite sure Isaac was expecting the water to be quite so chilly.
