Beko Soup Maker Review

Over the last year, I have been working with Beko as part of their #EatLikeAPro campaign.

This has involved putting some fabulous Beko appliances through their paces and using them to encourage healthier eating whilst still being convenient enough to cope with our busy family life.

Now is the time of year where we crave winter warmer food and I like nothing more for lunch than a bowl of steaming hot soup with some crusty bread, so I was very excited by my latest arrival – the Beko Soup Maker.

The Soup Maker comes with five programmes – chunky soup, smooth soup, sauce, crushed ice and auto clean. There’s also a ‘keep warm’ function and 5-speed settings, which allow you to use the Soup Maker as a regular blender or manually ‘pulse’ an ingredient.

The Beko Soup Maker was easy to assemble, straight from the box. Simply pop the base on the side, sit the jug on the base and pop on the lid. It holds itself onto the worktop with suction pads on the base, making it feel really secure. The jug has a 1.75l capacity, so the perfect size for a family or batch cooking and is made from tough, heat resistant Borosilicate glass.

It was the instructions that really threw me though, as they were almost non-existent. You literally add all the ingredients into the jug, select the program you want and press start – that’s it. The soup maker will cook and blend your soup into a perfect consistency. It really is super simple!

It starts by cooking the ingredients, which takes 25 minutes on the smooth setting and then blends it at the end of the cooking cycle. I was slightly concerned that the soup maker would take off when it started whizzing up the ingredients, however I was reassured that if the jug or lid isn’t sitting right, the programme won’t start until it’s in the correct position.

I love that I can load the machine up with ingredients before I go to work and can come home to a nice warm, homemade soup at lunchtime.

Like the Vacuum Blender I reviewed in September, this machine also a handy self-clean setting that works with warm water and a drop of dish liquid to leave your machine spotless, without needing to take it apart.

I cannot wait to try out some more soup recipes, although I think Leek and Potato will always be my favourite:

Leek and Potato Soup Recipe

  • 4 x Large Leeks
  • 1 x Medium Onion chopped
  • 2 x Medium Potatoes (peeled and diced)
  • 50g Butter
  • 850ml Vegetable Stock
  • 250ml Milk
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

The Beko Soup Maker has an RRP of £99 and is available to buy direct from Beko or AO.com. You can find out more about the campaign and check out lots of healthy family recipes over on the Eat Like A Pro website here.

  1. Sounds like a delicious recipe, I absolutely LOVE homemade soup! It’s 100% my favourite meal, but I cant always be bothered washing 10 pans to make a bowl of soup, so I really need this soup maker in my life!

  5. A soup maker isn’t something I think I needed until I read this post! This is such a great time of year for warming soups, and I hate buying canned soups. Adding this to my Christmas list!

  6. This sounds like such a great soup maker. Do you think it blends really finely or do you get great chunks of stuff still in there once blended? The kids love soup but hate lumps so won’t eat home-made ones lol
