Win a Family Ticket to a Zombie Survival Weekender

Zombie Weekender

We love the Walking Dead in this house and are looking forward to the next series coming back in October and the new spin-off show starting next month; Fear the Walking Dead.

I had thought of booking my husband and teens onto a Zombie paintball experience but never got round to it. Yesterday the perfect Zombie experience popped into my inbox.

The Zombie Survival Weekender is a unique opportunity for you and your children to learn and teach together in a structured exciting fun environment. Learning and sharing real useful survival skills, people from all backgrounds, abilities and experience are able to participate. You’ll be surprised what comes naturally to children and what we take for granted that they already know how to do, and you’ll surprise yourself and your children with what you know, and can teach them.

A lot of thought has gone into the psychology of fear and the development and confrontation of phobias. A section of the event is devoted to exploring and discussing, what makes us scared; what are we afraid of? What is real and what is irrational fear, overcoming our fears and anxiety and feeling safe. At no point throughout the event will your child feel out of control or ‘too’ scared they will always have you with them, and the game is a milder child-friendly version of the adults full-on game.

It does sound a little like bushcraft with the added fear factor, but learning survival techniques and skills that would help you and our children to stay alive in a genuine survival situation is important at any age. There are also team building and inter-team challenges and games for all ages.

This event is happening on 22-23rd August this year at Zombie Survival Weekender HQ: Egwysilian Mountain (10miles north of Cardiff) and I have a family ticket f(2 x adults and 2 x children) to giveaway*.

*Please ensure this event is suitable for your family before entering and that you are free to travel on 22nd August. Travel is not included and you must provide your own tent and provisions.

I don’t see a family ticket but adding up 2 adult tickets and 2 youth tickets. I’d say the price is £170. As a massive zombie & The Walking Dead fan, I am keeping everything crossed that I’ll win this. It’s the only thing I’ve ever seen that’s made me want to go camping!
