A-Level results are in and I am super proud to say that Kian got accepted into his first choice university and has already got the date of his move.
I am excited, but also a little nervous for him. He is our first child off to university and will be living away from home, so we are a little unsure what to expect and I have been busy researching absolutely everything he will need to take with him.

So there you have it, slightly overwhelmed by what we need to get but it is all coming together.
Did you go to university – have I missed anything important or is there anything you would add?
Whoa, this blog post brings back memories! It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was heading off to uni myself (even though it was back in 2009!) and I can still remember how nervous – but excited – I was x
You have every essential on the list. I remember my uni days. There were always so many things to pack.
I never went to uni – well not a traditional one, I was studying via OU when I became too ill to carry on – I would loved to have finished my degree.
I can imagine for many it is an exciting but stressful time!
Aw well done to Kian, he must be thrilled and you must be so proud. It’s so nice of you to research what he’ll need for him too. π
Eek university! That brings back some memories. It’s 20 years ago this September since I left for uni, I remember it like yesterday!
Congratulations Kian, that’s great news! wow that is a lot of stuff they need, I don’t envy you that job.
I think you’ve covered all of the essentials for sure – I remember the other year when my son went off to uni! Well done Kian on getting accepted to his first choice.
How exciting!
It seems you’ve got everything covered on the list he’s going to love it
I reckon forgetting something is all part of the experience! π
I took all of these and more for when I went to university almost 10 years ago now, he’s gonna have so much fun
This reminds me of all the stuff I took to uni. I miss my student days
This is such a handy list, thanks for sharing! Thankfully I have a few years til I have to worry about this with my little ones yet.
This is a fantastic resource for youngsters and their parents
Tupperware is essential for university! Why cook every night when you can make things in batches?! Xxx
