We’re off on our holibobs

It is just 3 weeks until we visit Trevella Park in Cornwall and my thoughts are starting to turn to our travel and packing arrangements.

I have been looking into transport options, but car hire and train fares are ridiculously expensive and there isn’t a coach unless we travel to London and change, which seems like a ridiculous thing to do with young children in tow.

So it looks like we are taking two cars which, after our Drayton Manor fiasco, I am dreading as I managed to miss a turn and got ridiculously lost with a grumpy baby in the back.  Fingers crossed the traffic isn’t too bad and we don’t get split up.

We have stayed in a caravan before in the Isle of Wight in October and it was freezing, but I have been reassured that their luxury caravans are modern, warm and cosy, but as we are taking two cars I think I will squeeze in some extra blankets just in case.

We have been to Lands End, Eden Project etc so are hoping to find somewhere a bit different.  Trevella Park has launched its own guide to 50 Great Adventures in Cornwall, available at 50 Great Adventures in Cornwall.  The list features daring activities for tots which include playing in the rain, going on a barefoot walk, spotting a shooting star and hunting for crabs. Family adventures cover everything from beach barbecues to horse-riding along the Gannel River, while ideas for couples include food and river festivals, coastal and countryside walks, sea kayaking, coasteering and sea fishing.

We have visited Cornwall a number of times, but would love some tips of where to go and what to see…….especially this time of the year.  I know my husband and teens have their eye on Adrenaline Quarry, but I think I will just sit and watch with the little ones.  There is also a zip wire over the Eden Project that looks amazing.

I fancy something a little less hair raising and feeding the Penguins at Newquay Zoo is more up my street, but where have you been and what do you recommend?
