Travel the World with British Airways

I am a big fan of travelling with British Airways as I have always found their service friendly, caring and efficient.

Last weekend we visited Kidzania in London and I thought I had taken a wrong turn on the way and ended up at Heathrow Airport, as you arrive at a British Airways style check-in when you arrive.

British Airways is the airline Industry Partner for Kidzania and on passing through the check-in, we were greeted with the sight of the body of a British Airways branded A319, which is over 18 metres long and weighs over 16 tonnes. It’s also home to the Aviation Academy – where ‘mini flyers’ are immersed in the world of travel. Isaac learned how to be a pilot with flying lessons and Eliza learned how to be the perfect cabin crew and even got to serve us in our food whilst wearing a miniature uniform.

I think it is a fabulous way of teaching kids about the real world of working and customer service and can only applaud British Airways for getting involved in such a fabulous project. I think we may have a future pilot among our ranks!

Did you know that British Airways can not only help you find the perfect holiday by carefully selecting hotels, but they also offer straight-forward car hire and total all the costs, so there’s no surprise extras where there shouldn’t be.

They have created a selection of tools on their website to help you with your travel plans by helping you find the perfect destination, get the best deal, compare holidays or see why BA offers you real value for money.

  • Holiday Finder helps you search for your ideal holiday package whilst saving money
  • Trip Seeker allows you to search by temperature, distance and price
  • Low Price Finder finds the lowest fares to over 600 destinations
  • Where we fly shows us which destinations you can fly to using British Airways global network

British Airways also understand that family finances can be tricky to juggle and offer the choice to secure your holiday with a low deposit and stagger your payments and if you are struggling with any part of your booking, their 24 hour helpline is there just in case you need it. You can also enrol your family members in the Executive Club for free, so you can all collect Avios together in a Household Account which will give you more to spend on rewards when you want them.

If you are planning a special occasion trip, their Luxury World Sale is currently on, but hurry, it ends on 17th November.

On the flights themselves, every child will also receive a Skyflyers activity pack on board which will keep the children amused during their flight and if you’re travelling to a long-haul destination, they also have a dedicated kid’s channel from Disney and the Cartoon Network.

From start to finish consider your holiday taken care of whilst you are home and away!

  1. Kidzania looks incredible! I think my two are too little and too old to appreciate this but it’s definitely somewhere I would like to take Arthur when he is a bit older as he loves aeroplanes.
