Toxic Fox Selfie Stick Review

I have been toying with the idea of getting a selfie stick since we holidayed at Coombe Mill as we tried to get a selfie with Fiona and we couldn’t get the camera far enough away to get everybody in the picture so when we were offered a selfie stick from Toxic Fox to review I jumped at the chance.

My kids all love taking selfies and whilst I don’t understand the “selfie pout” they all seem to pull, I can see the appeal of a selfie stick.  I am always the one who is behind the camera on our days out and being able to get in front of the camera to prove I was actually there can only be a good thing.

The selfie stick is inexpensive addition to your phone accessories, priced at just £14.99 and it is so simple to use even Eliza can do it and when not in use it fits nicely in the bottom of my handbag, making it easy to take along on our days out and get out as and when I need it.

The selfie stick only requires you to add your phone to the expandable end and clip in the aux cable.  Turn the camera on, extend the cable and press the button on the handle – the perfect pic.

Ready….. Steady…….. Smile!

Selfie Stick

The phone felt nice in secure in the cradle and I could clip it in complete with the cover on it too.  The other benefits of having a selfie stick is that I could record some video at a different height and angle – a feature that I really like and will be playing with a lot more.

The Selfie Stick from Toxic Fox is now available for just £10 – simply add the code SELFIE at the checkout to get the discount.

Please note the selfie stick is only compatible with the following smart phones:

• Apple: iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6+
• Samsung: Galaxy S5, S4, S3, S2, Note 1, Note 2, Note 3+, Tab 2, Note 8 and 10.1+
• Moto: X / Nexus 4,5,7+ / Xiamiou 1S, 2S, 3+
• Sony Xperia S / HTC New One & X+

You know, I used to see these images on Instagram and complain to my husband about how they clearly had someone else taking the picture or my arms were really, really short. Now I know…. and feel silly 😉

  5. I’ve been stubbornly refraining from buying one of these but I’m starting to see the appeal. Particularly as the kids grow older and we struggle to squeeze all 4 into the frame.

I am one of those people who neither loves nor hates the selfie stick, but I do hate having my picture taken x

  9. Have to admit we got one at Christmas but despite it being a fab idea, it’s not been used much since! Bit self-conscious about getting it out in public (oo-er!) so it’s stayed at home mostly! Empty beach is a good spot though 🙂

  19. I can see the appeal, after all it is great for taking big group photos, I am never in a photo with all of my children but I would be embarrassed out and about with it. Perhaps I could use one indoors 🙂
