Thinking Slimmer Week 2

I toyed with the idea of doing a weekly update of my Thinking Slimmer program, but if I am completely honest I don’t really have the time.  The last week has seen both Eliza and Sebastian ill and I haven’t had a chance to start the MUTU system as I have been constantly running around after or cuddling them.

That said, I have made progress already and it is even better than I hoped.

You can see my starting weight / measurements here.

Week 1 weight loss:  4lbs

Week 2 weight loss:  2lbs

Thinking Slimmer isn’t really about the weight loss though, it is more about measurements and changing eating habits. I have found myself not reaching for the biscuit tin, and if I do I will only have one or two rather than a handful.  I have also stopped grazing any left over food from the kids and eating smaller portions of dinner.

Measurement wise:

Chest:  36″  – no change

Waist:  36″ – a loss of 2″

Tummy:  41″ – a loss of 1″

Hips:  40″ – a loss of 2″

Thighs:  21″ – no change

It is such a great start that I am even more motivated to keep going and I am confident that when I start the MUTU system I will start to see better results on my tummy.

  1. grazing is kinda a hard one to cut off isn’t it, but it always gets easier. i have always found the best thing to do in general in regards to keeping a weight you’re happy with or losing a little is still to eat what you want, just control your portions, get as much excersise as you can, and drink plenty of water.

  2. Good advice from Laura there 🙂 Keep going, you are doing really well! It’s tough, I have the opposite problem, everyone reckons they are so jealous – but it can be as difficult as losing weight too!

  3. I am a nightmare at grazing because at the end of the day I might be really hungry and feel like I haven’t eaten, but when I really think about it the junk I have snacked on has probably already gone over what I’m allowed a day. Sorting my weight out is one of my resolutions this year and I’m trying to take care of myself more for the sake of my little girl.

  4. Sounds like you are going about it the right way – whenever I am trying to loose weight I go on measurements rather than weight loss. Great that you are grazing less and having the motivation not to eat as much!

  5. I’m so interested to see how you get on. I’m determined to lose weight and tone up and I’m currently on Day 9 on the 30 Day Shred. I have to admit that I get obsessed with measuring myself….come on inches, be gone. I have a night out on Friday and I’m trying to lose a bit of bloat for then.
