Week 36 – Project 365 2014

It has been an eventful week in the Chelseamamma household this week, but sadly not for all the right reasons.

We finished off the school holidays at Bournemouth Air Festival on Sunday and it was the best air festival day we have ever had.  I think a combination of the weather and company just made it an amazing day.

On Monday I met up with my friend Joanne from Charliemoos at our local soft play centre with all the children.  Sebastian just wasn’t interested in playing and then howled for what seemed like an eternity before falling asleep on my shoulder.  Without any warning he was sick…….everywhere.  All over him and me – looking back its quite comical, but trying to round up 5 children whilst covered in vomit and get them home and to the car was a nightmare.

Poor Sebby has had the bug all week.  Everytime we think its cleared through he is sick again, but the doctors say he just needs to work it through his system.  Eliza then came down with it on Wednesday and it hit me on Thursday, thankfully only lasting a few hours!

On a good note, Kian left for his school trip to Paris at 4am on Tuesday morning and had a whale of a time, returning home on Friday night.  Yesterday we introduced Daddy to the Treasure Island Play Park we found a couple of weeks ago and then took a wander to the beach.  It was lovely to hear Sebby giggling again – lets hope he is finally beating this bug!

I am shattered!

I still haven’t recovered from Camp Bestival and I am desperately trying to get the kids back into a routine.  Kian and Isaac are ok and are sleeping later than ever, but Eliza and Sebastian have their body clocks firmly set at 6am!

It has been a busy week for me work wise too.  Monday was spent doing load after load after load of washing and then I was childminding for the rest of the week.  As the weather was so good we had to make the most of it, and looking at the weather this morning, I am glad we did!

Week 32

215.  Eliza on top of Daddy’s shoulders complete with glowstick, rocking out to Basement Jaxx

Project 365 2014 – Week 31

I think this is the first time I have missed the Project 365 linky, but I have a good excuse…….we sat in the middle of a field with no wifi enjoying Camp Bestival.

It is safe to say we had the most amazing time and it is a must do for us next year too, although next time I am taking ear plugs!!

It is always a given with me that it has been a busy week and last week was no exception.  I have been working and because the weather has been so fabulous we have been out everyday to make the most of it.

Here is my week in pictures:

Project 365, Week 26

I have to admit that I am relieved that June is almost over as I need to slow down a bit.

This week has seen us visiting some of London’s attractions after Britmums Live and Callan’s 17th Birthday – watch out world, we have bought him driving lessons!

It has also seen months of planning come to fruition for the school fete, which got some great feedback.

This week also saw Isaac go on his first school trip to Poole Museum for Pirate Day.  I was worried when I was pulled aside by the teacher but she then proceeded to tell me that Isaac shone on this day – he listened well and was keen to ask everyone a barrage of questions and was brilliantly behaved and polite.

Here is our week:

Week 26

174.  Another present for his birthday but he preferred the box!

Project 365 2014, Week 25

To say June is the busiest month in our calendar is an understatement and I will be glad when it is over.

So far we have celebrated Abbey’s 21st and the MIL’s 60th birthday on 6th June, Father’s Day, Sebastian’s 1st birthday on 20th June, my 40th on the 21st June, plus it was BritMums Live this weekend too.

I AM SHATTERED!!

I still have Callan’s 17th birthday on 24th June to go and then our wedding anniversary and hubby’s birthday at the very beginning of July…….really bad planning on my part!!

It has been an absolutely amazing week and I am still buzzing from meeting some of my favourite bloggers at Britmums Live.  I haven’t even thought about what I am going to write about it, although one tip I do have is don’t take the baby as he was completely overwhelmed by the sea of faces in front of him.  He was probably one of the most recognised people there though and definitely helped break the ice!

So here is my week in pictures.

week 25

166.  Hubby and Kian went kayak fishing for a Father’s Day Treat

167.  Sebastian digging in to some Corn on the Cob from the Fathers Day BBQ that we had a day late as the weather was rubbish on the Sunday

168.  Showing off his three new teeth at the top

169.  Eliza and her bestie Olive enjoying an ice cream at Poole Park after swimming

170.  Enjoying his last morning of being under 1 on the beach

171.  Wondering what he is supposed to do with this big thing covered with paper that we put in front of him……..he then proceeded to play with the ripped paper rather than the toy

172.  Thank to Mumonthebrink for this photo – celebrating my 40th birthday at Britmums Live!

Project 365 2014 – Week 22

I have to say that this half term has been brilliant.

We have been on the go all weeks and barely stopped for breath – just the way I like it!

Last weekend we had Bournemouth Wheels Festival where we got to watch Monster Trucks on the beach.  The kids got to attend a Harry Potter themed birthday party which they thoroughly enjoyed too.

We have been to soft play (twice), the park, beach, cinema and a craft festival.  My highlight though was doing something for me for a change.

I got a phone call on Wednesday evening, on the way back from the cinema to say that I had won a trip out on a Power Boat.  Not any kind of Power Boat, but a proper racing boat that was competing this weekend at the P1 Super Stock Grand Prix in Bournemouth, with the actual skipper Arran Scott.

I was terrified and excited at the same time and I cannot wait to tell you all about it……….. lets just say 75 miles per hour on the sea is very different from on land!

Week 22

145.  Posing in the Picture Frame at the Harry Potter Party

146.  Isaac posing aboard a tank at Bournemouth Wheels

147.  Callan arrived for a visit and Sebby bagged first cuddles

148.  Enjoying Bournemouth Pier after a meal at Aruba

149.  Sebby watching how soft play is done (he was dying to get moving but hasn’t quite managed it…….yet)

150.  Aboard the LycaMobile Power Boat racing past Shell Bay in Studland

151.  Cheering on Arran from the Pier as he raced past the finish line

Project 365 2014 – Week 10

This week it has felt like Dorchester is my second home as I have been back and forth almost daily to visit my mum who managed to break her leg in three places.  She is in good spirits though and had another operation on Friday to insert a plate in her leg and is now in plaster.

Hubby has had two interviews this week but despite being promised a phone call on Friday by both companies we have heard nothing.  It is very frustrating and stressful as it would be nice to know one way or the other.

We have made the most of spending time together as hopefully he will be back at work very soon, not that he is getting under my feet or anything ;0)

Week 10

61.  Sorry if you are squeamish – this is mums ankle with scaffolding to support it

62.  Our local ice rink were running toddler sessions for just £4 so Eliza and I released our inner “Elsa” and had fun on the ice.  She preferred sitting on the seal to trying to skate, but who wouldn’t with mum pushing you round at high speed.

63.  We went into Poole for a wander and bumped into the Town Cryer – not someone you see everyday

64.  Eliza patiently waiting for her swimming lesson to start

65.  Eliza made some peg dolls all by herself – I was very impressed with her efforts

66.  I have never had so many comments about an outfit as I did today – all the mums fell in love with her red riding hood cape………the trainers did spoil the look though.

67.  The garden is finally dry enough to get the garden toys back out and the kids enjoyed jumping on the trampoline, swinging and trying to get Kian off the seesaw!

Project 365 2014 – Week 8

Having hubby home over half term has been fantastic and he has finally witnessed how and why I sometimes have a bad day too.

The kids have been monopolizing all his time and often bicker over who can sit on his lap, although they have not been impressed by his much stricter house rules.

The good news is that hubby has passed a telephone interview for a new job this week and has a full face to face interview on Monday so we have everything crossed that it goes well.

Here is our week in pictures:

Project 365 2014- Week 7

47.  We went to Corfe Castle where our teddy’s took part in the Teddy Zip Wire activity.  The kids had a great time exploring the castle and learning about its history, but the favourite part was most definitely watching their brave teddy’s in action.

48.  Callan arrived to visit for Half Term, bringing his homework and revision with him – let’s just say that Physics was never my strongest subject so I wasn’t much help!

49.  Eliza snoring surrounded by her Doc McStuffins toys.  We are reviewing the Twinkle Tog sleepsuit and I only wish they did one in my size.

50.  Wednesday saw us take advantage of a fab offer to attend Monkey World.  It was a fantastic day out and Abbey and Callan loved it as much now as when they were little.

51.  We descended on the local park where Sebastian hogged the swing.  It was a bit boggy though after all the rain and Isaac ended up literally covered in mud!

52.  We have been asked to review a Kettler Go Kart.  After an hour of much huffing and puffing by hubby it was finally ready for a test drive and kept the kids amused for hours!

53.  The boys were back out on the Go Kart, so Eliza gave chase on her Microscooter.

Project 365 2014 – Week 5

How is it February already?

I have to admit I am glad to see the back of January, although it does appear that the miserable weather is here to stay.  I am desperate to get out and about with the kids but there just doesn’t seem to be anywhere safe to go – the rivers are all in flood, there are high winds meaning trees are coming down left, right and centre – even the beaches aren’t safe at the moment with warnings to stay away.

Here is my week in pictures.

Chelseamamma Week 5
Week 5

26.  Isaac finally got his very own Scootaheadz and did an impression of a Danny Dinosaur Roar!

27.  I visited my old home town of East Preston in West Sussex as I had a meeting with Callan’s teachers to discuss his school work.  It was lovely having a look around all my old childhood haunts.

28.  Isaac got to bring home Peanuts the school teddy, but because he was riding his scooter to school he decided Sebastian should look after him

29.  Kian had a day off school to make his final Options choice so did the school run with us on his scooter, impressing the little children with a few flicks and tricks

30.  I went over to Abbey’s house to help her landlady with some social media advice.  Sebastian and her daughter Senna got on like a house on fire.

31.  We finally bought a new car this week – Isaac laid claim to the seats at the very rear of the car!

32.  Isaac and Eliza making a dash to his swimming lesson.  We moved it to a Saturday as he was finding he was too tired on a Friday night!

Project 365 – Week 4

This week has all been about the build up to Eliza’s 3rd birthday.  I have to admit I did try and keep a lid on it by not telling her too soon but with older, and very excited siblings in the house, it didn’t really go to plan.

Project 365
Week 4

19.  After weeks of moaning that I was struggling to feed Sebastian in his bouncy chair we finally found a reasonably priced Tripp Trapp on eBay.  He loves being up high and watching everyone else eat but I have to admit I am not impressed with it as I find it very difficult to get him in and out of it.

20.  Isaac attempts to ride two scooters at once

21.  The weather has been all over the place this week and we got caught in a thunder storm on the school pick up before this stunning double rainbow appeared

22.  We went to Salisbury to test drive a new car before heading to Smyths Toys to get Eliza her birthday present.  Sebastian was giving Daddy his best “you know you love me” look

23.  The temperature dropped so it was time to break out the snuggly snow suit and cute bobble hat

24.  Eliza’s 3rd birthday.  She had a wonderful time at her Be My Bear party and this is the first year she really understood what was going on.  We are also knee deep in dolls now, much to her delight!

25.  Our #teamhonkrelay efforts get acknowledged in the local paper!
