Farmer Palmers

Project 366 2016 – Week Six

This week started with a trip to the cinema to see The Good Dinosaur and I was really surprised that Sebastian sat through the whole film. Afterwards we reenacted the chasing birds scene as we walked through Bournemouth Gardens. Tuesday was pancake day and Kian insisted in flipping his own pancakes. Thankfully there were no disasters and no pancakes stuck to the ceiling. On Thursday I took Sebastian to Farmer Palmers and he was quite insistent that the piggies in the picture below were Peppa and her family. This week was walk to school week at our school and on …

Project 366 2016 – Week Four

This week started on a high with Eliza’s 5th birthday and a magical princess party. She had a brilliant time and got lots of lovely presents. We finished off the day in style with a trip to Bournemouth Pier where Hubby and I did the Pier Zip before sending Nanny and Kian down it too. On Monday I headed to London’s Olympia for the Toy Fair. It was a real eye opener and I was very lucky to see some of the fabulous new toys being released later this year but I did find the day exhausting. Hubby had the …

Project 366 2016 – Week Three

This week started with rain again but this didn’t stop us paying a visit to the Stick Man trail at Moors Valley and thankfully it stopped raining as we arrived. We did enjoy splashing in lots of puddles and squelching in mud as we looked for all the clues. As Eliza turns 5 this week she finally gets to go to Rainbows and enjoyed her first session. Despite not knowing anyone she settled in well and had lots of fun. On Wednesday Hubby and I were invited out to a pub in Cranborne for a quiz night. I had forgotten how …

Ringstead Bay

Project 366 2016 – Week Two

This week we have finally seen the back of the rain and although the temperature has dropped we have been out enjoying some much-needed sunshine.

Last Sunday was the last day of non-stop rain but we headed out to our local Beefeater for a yummy roast dinner.

The arrival of the cold weather mean’t we could dig our hats out and Sebastian was super excited to wear his new Thomas hat that Callan got him for Christmas.

On Thursday I met my friends in their gorgeous new house in Southbourne and as it was literally 2 minutes from the beach we took Sebastian down for a walk along the prom to Hengistbury Head.

The beach was also our destination on Saturday. We started at the Sealife Centre in Weymouth and also planned to do the Sealife Tower but it was closed which was a real shame as the skies were so clear. On the way into Weymouth I spotted a sign for Ringstead Bay and a cafe so I decided to head there with a promise of a fun beach walk followed up with a warming hot chocolate.

The kids had a whale of a time running up and down the shingle, making pictures with seaweed and throwing stones into the sea to make different sounds. Sadly we found the cafe was closed so they had to wait for their hot chocolate until they got home.

Here is my week in pictures:

Project 366 2016 – Week One!

Welcome to my fourth year of Project 365, well really its 366 as it is a leap year!

This year hasn’t started as well as I hoped as we have been stuck inside thanks to the weather, but thankfully we are not in as bad a position of those up North and I really feel for those that cannot even get into their homes.

We started this year with having a family get together at home and had a very raucous game of Heads Up. At one point Eliza had to guess Eliza Doolittle and surprisingly got it really quickly. The second day of the year we were invited to Toby’s birthday party and Sebby’s favourite part was the bubbles!

Project 366, week 1

The 3rd day of the year started with torrential rain and I wasn’t hopeful about getting outside but the weather forecast predicted a two hour dry spell and we arrived at the beach just as the rain stopped to blow away the cobwebs. Day four was another indoor day sadly but Sebby had a blast terrorising the island of Sodor with Rex the dinosaur.

Week 1

Day 5 was back to school day, but not before Eliza started her birthday countdown on the chalk board and on day 6, Isaac surprised us all by getting his 600m swimming badge after 3 weeks of no swimming!

Week 1, Project 366

Day 7 saw Sebby return to pre-school and when he came home he promptly passed out on the sofa! The following day he was back at his swimming lessons and we finally cracked the catamarans – he had previously refused to even contemplate trying them!

Week One

Today we visited Rock Up in Whitely and the boys got their climbing wall fix whilst Eliza and Sebby charged around soft play.

Week One!
