A New Winter Coat from Polarn O Pyret

I was first introduced to Polarn O.Pyret back in 2012 and instantly fell in love with their clothing range for children.

Polarn O Pyret, pronounced Pole Arn oh peer et, means “Buddy and the Little One” in Swedish and is also known as PO.P for short. They pride themselves on making stylish, practical, colourful clothes that can stand up to all the play and adventure that children will put them through.

Isaac, Eliza and Sebastian have all had winter coats and rain coats since I discovered them and they stand up to play so well that they have handed them down to each other and then on again to family friends. I also find the clothing come generously sized too, so we actually get two winters wear out of them, so although the initial outlay is expensive, it does work out to be great value.

We were lucky enough to be sent the PO.P Padded Winter Coat for Isaac to review.

The high-tech padded snow, wind and waterproof kid’s coat is hard-wearing and perfect for the harshest of winters and even skiing. The coat is made from quality durable and breathable fabric and features pre-bent arms for increased mobility, taped seams, a detachable, adjustable hood and soft cosy padding with soft fleece lining to keep the cold out.

I love the colours of this coat, although Isaac’s favourite feature is the wrist protector with handy thumb holes on the sleeves. It is water-resistant up to 15000mm so perfect for our British weather and has reflectors for all round visibility as the nights start drawing in.

If skiing is your thing, the coat has a detachable snowskirt that can be attached to winter trousers and a handy pocket on the sleeve for a ski pass. The coat also features two large and one small front pockets and a snug fleece collar to prevent rubbing.

I think Isaac looks very smart in his coat and I am confident it will keep him warm and dry for this winter and probably the next one too!
