The Stickman Trail at Moors Valley

Julia Donaldson is one of my favourite authors and when Moors Valley did fhe Gruffalo trail we did it a number of times and loved it. The Gruffalo trail is sadly no more but in its place is now the Stick Man trail and we took part last weekend.  It is free to do if you just want to follow the trail, but we paid £2 for a booklet, a pencil and three chenille straws that had extra activities for the kids to do. Marwell Christmas

A few weeks ago I got to review Marwell Wildlife as part of the Britains Best Days Out feature by Money Supermarket. We had a fantastic time and when they invited us to return to see Christmas at Marwell we couldn’t say no! Christmas at Marwell runs from 24th November until 24th December and you are required to book in advance – hurry though as slots are filling up fast!! The Gruffalo Trail

If you are regular reader of my blog, you will know that we visit Moors Valley fairly regularly as it has a fantastic playtrail, children’s parks, picnic area and much much more, which you can read about here. Moors Valley launched their new activity – The Gruffalo Trail on 16th June which will run until 16th September 2012 and what better way could we spend Fathers Day? Crabbing at Mudeford Quay

A few weeks ago I took my kids for a walk around the place where I used to live as a child – Mudeford Quay, near Christchurch in Dorset. It is a very popular location, with a beach hut currently up for sale for over £145,000 (yes really).  One of the draws of the area is the opportunity to go Crabbing and whilst we were there the boys were fascinated by crabs that everyone had caught.
