Zippo’s Circus are back in Brighton with their “Rebound” tour following COVID19!

Back in August last year we were lucky enough to be invited to review Cirque Berserk when it visited Brighton and the kids have been asking to visit the circus again over the summer holidays. With COVID19 restrictions to consider, we were unsure if the circus would be back this year, but they are back on the road with the Big Top tour ‘Rebound!’, starring a diverse cast of thrilling artists from around the globe. The tour started in Brighton this week, where it will be on Hove Park until 23rd August and we met up with Callan and Chelsea …

A visit to the Brighton SEA LIFE Centre

Living in West Sussex for most of my childhood, I always looked forward to a visit to the aquarium at Brighton to see the dolphins. Fast forward a few years (I’m not counting, but it’s a lot), the dolphins are now gone and the aquarium has been transformed into Brighton SEA LIFE Centre. SEA LIFE Brighton is set outside Palace Pier and is the oldest operating aquarium in the world, built in 1872 and features 3,500 mesmerising creatures including jellyfish, rays, turtles and octopus. A Roadtrip to Brighton Fringe Festival with Citroen

Brighton Fringe festival is the UK’s largest annual arts festival and runs from 6th May – 5th June 2016. Last weekend I was invited by sponsors Citroën UK to head cross country and see what the festival had to offer and all in a spangly New Citroën C4 Picasso. I am no stranger to the C4 Picasso having owned one for three years, but they have brought it right up to date with a dashboard to rival the Starship Enterprise with a smart phone inspired 7-inch Touch Drive interface. There is still the three full size, car seat friendly seats in …

Airbourne, Eastbourne’s International Airshow!

My favourite childhood memory is being stood on the seafront watching the Red Arrows roaring across the sky in front of me with their colours of red, white and blue trailing behind them and my love of aircraft has stayed with me ever since. Without fail, every year we make sure we see the Red Arrows displaying if they are local, from Lyme Regis to Lymington and we ensure we get there early to get the best spots, but it is the air shows with a variety of aircraft that we really enjoy. We normally head to Bournemouth Airfest as …

A Day Trip to Drusilla’s Park

When Abbey and Callan were little we lived in West Sussex and one of our favourite days out were trips to Drusilla’s Park in East Sussex. It is scary to think that it is probably around 16 years since our last visit, so when I was invited up for the day by Visit 1066 Country to review the park I jumped at the chance. Sadly Callan didn’t come with us as he was working but Abbey joined us as she was keen to see where we used to take her as a child. Drusilla’s is a child friendly, small zoo …
