Project 365 2021 – Week Forty

This week I finally got my car back after its MOT fail. I cannot say I enjoyed doing battle with the bus as it is so unreliable, but it seems to be cheaper than running my old car. There have been a number of COVID cases in Eliza and Sebby’s school this week, so we have all started doing Lateral Flow Tests again, to be safe. Thankfully we are all clear so far, but Sebby is a close contact so we are keeping an eye on him. Here is our week: Sunday 3rd October Before the pandemic, Isaac and Eliza …

Project 365 2021: Week Thirty

With the kids at cub / scout camps this week, I would love to say I have had a week of relaxation and although I did get a couple of moments, both my husband and I had to work. We were also on countdown to Camp Bestival and were both feeling a little anxious about it before we arrived, but once we were there, we soon relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere. Monday 26th July It feels very strange not having the kids at home, so I spent the day catching up on housework. When my husband got home from work, …

Project 365 2021: Week Twenty Eight

This week has been a bit of a nightmare. The lurgy has hit our house! We have done a PCR test – negative, but still have two out of three kids isolating thanks to positive cases in their respective bubbles. The 19th July is “freedom day” but I have to admit that in some ways I am feeling uncomfortable, much as I am hoping to get back to normal. Cases continue to rise and some news channels are now saying that if it keeps escalating then we will be back in lockdown in 5 weeks. I am so glad we …

It has been an eventful week in the news, with COVID cases rising again, the Health Secretary resigning for breaking COVID rules and the Euro 2020 knockout stages beginning. Here is our week: Monday 21st June Finally released from isolation, just in time for my birthday. Sadly plans of a walk along the Purbeck Hills was postponed thanks to the inclement weather, but we enjoyed lunch in the pretty village of Corfe. …

Project 365 2021: Week Twenty Four

Anyone that knows me, knows that I hate being stuck in the house, so I have found isolating this week really hard, especially as I have had both vaccinations. I have been doing lateral flow tests everyday, just for my own peace of mind and am pleased to say I am all clear. Sadly my week has not been very interesting at all. Monday 14th June The one benefit of staying at home is that I have managed to catch up with some blog work and outstanding reviews. Today’s one was Sebby’s new Xplora watch, which he loves. He can …
