Pulling Faces

Saturday is Caption Day – 30th January 2016

Hello and welcome to Saturday is Caption Day #satcap.

If you have not taken part before please come and join in. Simply find a funny / cheeky / captionable photo and upload it to your blog with a sentence or three about it. Then link it up with me below and visit the other people who link up and have a giggle as you come up with some humourous captions!

Last weekend was Eliza’s birthday and we had a Princess party for her in our local community centre. Isaac wasn’t keen on joining in so decided that pulling faces with his big sister was much more fun.

Can you caption this?

Project 366 2016 – Week Two

This week we have finally seen the back of the rain and although the temperature has dropped we have been out enjoying some much-needed sunshine.

Last Sunday was the last day of non-stop rain but we headed out to our local Beefeater for a yummy roast dinner.

The arrival of the cold weather mean’t we could dig our hats out and Sebastian was super excited to wear his new Thomas hat that Callan got him for Christmas.

On Thursday I met my friends in their gorgeous new house in Southbourne and as it was literally 2 minutes from the beach we took Sebastian down for a walk along the prom to Hengistbury Head.

The beach was also our destination on Saturday. We started at the Sealife Centre in Weymouth and also planned to do the Sealife Tower but it was closed which was a real shame as the skies were so clear. On the way into Weymouth I spotted a sign for Ringstead Bay and a cafe so I decided to head there with a promise of a fun beach walk followed up with a warming hot chocolate.

The kids had a whale of a time running up and down the shingle, making pictures with seaweed and throwing stones into the sea to make different sounds. Sadly we found the cafe was closed so they had to wait for their hot chocolate until they got home.

Here is my week in pictures:

Project 366 2016 – Week One!

Welcome to my fourth year of Project 365, well really its 366 as it is a leap year!

This year hasn’t started as well as I hoped as we have been stuck inside thanks to the weather, but thankfully we are not in as bad a position of those up North and I really feel for those that cannot even get into their homes.

We started this year with having a family get together at home and had a very raucous game of Heads Up. At one point Eliza had to guess Eliza Doolittle and surprisingly got it really quickly. The second day of the year we were invited to Toby’s birthday party and Sebby’s favourite part was the bubbles!

Project 366, week 1

The 3rd day of the year started with torrential rain and I wasn’t hopeful about getting outside but the weather forecast predicted a two hour dry spell and we arrived at the beach just as the rain stopped to blow away the cobwebs. Day four was another indoor day sadly but Sebby had a blast terrorising the island of Sodor with Rex the dinosaur.

Week 1

Day 5 was back to school day, but not before Eliza started her birthday countdown on the chalk board and on day 6, Isaac surprised us all by getting his 600m swimming badge after 3 weeks of no swimming!

Week 1, Project 366

Day 7 saw Sebby return to pre-school and when he came home he promptly passed out on the sofa! The following day he was back at his swimming lessons and we finally cracked the catamarans – he had previously refused to even contemplate trying them!

Week One

Today we visited Rock Up in Whitely and the boys got their climbing wall fix whilst Eliza and Sebby charged around soft play.

Week One!
