Shibajuku Girls – the New Dolls on the Block

Eliza loves her dolls!

She has moved on from baby dolls and now prefers those she can accessorise, change clothes and style their hair.

We were sent Yoko, one of the Shibajuku Girls to review, which are fashion dolls with a difference!

There are five dolls to collect; Yoko, Namika, Shizuka, Koe and Suki and each are dressed in the latest Harajuku fashions and are totally on trend with their coloured hair and quirky accessories. Much to Eliza’s delight, Yoko has pink and purple hair (her favourite colours) and lots of sparkly accessories to either put in the dolls hair, or her own.

Shibajuku Girls

Each doll in the series has her own unique style and personality and Yoko is all about being cool in a different way. She’s is a big fan of rocking mysterious colours with style, and being her own person! She is also into music of all kinds, but the electric guitar is her favourite.

The new Shibajuku Girls are fully poseable fashion dolls that are larger than its leading competitor at 13″ tall. Their faces are natural and strikingly beautiful with large glass eyes, sparkly make-up and real lashes which really stand out making them quite unique and Yoko is by far Eliza’s favourite doll now and she takes her everywhere!

Each doll comes with 4 cute hair accessories to share with her new owner and they are plenty big enough to be worn in Eliza’s hair and stay in well too.

All Eliza’s friends that come to visit are automatically drawn to this doll. I think the combination of the colourful hair, fashionable clothing and its poseability make it a real hit with them.

Shibajuku Girls are available from Smyths Toys and have an RRP of £24.99

  1. They do look bigger but we actually prefer them over the Bratz dolls. Must keep an eye out for them. We’re still at the babies stage but I’m sure eventually we’ll be upgrading to fashion dolls. I kinda like it x

  2. They look quite big, which is great as it’s easier for children to dress them up. I like the colored hair and the stylish wardrobe. The tights are actually pretty cool too, I do own a pair of those cat ones in human size, haha.
