Sebastian’s Star Wars inspired 5th Birthday Party with Dr Balloonman

I still cannot believe that the baby of the family, Sebastian, turned 5 last week.

He had a fabulous day last Wednesday, despite having to go to school on his birthday, but his whole class sang Happy Birthday and then he chose to have McDonalds for his birthday dinner treat, but he had to wait until Saturday for his party.

Last year’s dinosaur party was a roaring success, but this year he wanted something different. For the last three years we have enjoyed a Sail with Santa Cruise with City Cruises Poole in December and the host of the show is Dr Balloonman.

We have seen many a children’s entertainer in our time, but Dr Balloonman is the very best at getting the party started and Sebby never wavered once with his decision to have him host his party.

Happy Birthday

Sebastian’s other love is Star Wars, so we decorated the venue with Stars Wars themed party ware and my friend Michelle from Sculpted Bakes, made him a LEGO Chewbacca Birthday Cake as per his request.

Whilst Sebby’s friends were arriving, Dr Balloonman entertained the kids with a rocket balloon and some normal balloons to knock round the room and then it was time to begin, with the class teddy Pip, on hand to help out too.

Dr Balloonman pitches the entertainment at the age of the kids in attendance and offers the perfect balance of comedy, party games and of course, balloon modelling.

As he made the balloons he got the children to help, with hilarious consequences, but still managed to make a wand, light sabre and a very impressive octopus which they could all try to win.

The first half of the party lasted an hour and then we had a break for some food and the all important cake, whilst Dr Balloonman got to work and made a selection of balloon swords and flowers for the kids to take home.

The second half of Dr Balloonman’s performance involved comedy magic and he got the birthday boy up to help him, with a selection of his friends.

For the final show, he made an even more impressive balloon model, but can you guess what it is going to be?

Once the show was over, the kids got to choose which balloon prize they wanted to take home as well as a party bag. Of course the light sabre and spaceman had to come home with us!!

Eliza also managed to persuade Dr Balloonman to make her a Little Mermaid too!!

All the kids had an absolute blast and went home very happy with their balloon creations.

If you are looking for an entertainer in Dorset, Dr Balloonman creates balloon models and sculptures for all events and ages, including parties, weddings and corporate events.

We are all looking forward to seeing him again on the run up to Christmas!!

  1. Hi Kara,

Looks like Sebastian had a fantastic birthday party, I absolutely love his Lego Chewbacca Cake. Being a Children’s Entertainer myself it’s always great to see such a high standard of entertainers in our industry, well done Dr Balloonman.

Thank you so much for sharing your brilliant blog, and all the fun at Sebastian’s party.
