Looking in the mirror, especially first thing in the morning can be a bit of a shock.
I have a spot light directly above the mirror which not only makes my grey hairs glint, reminding me I am not getting any younger, but it also seems to highlight the wrinkles which are appearing, especially around my eyes.
I was invited to review the Silk’n Facetite device, a home-use face and neck skin rejuvenation tool, which combines bi-polar Radio Frequency with red and near infrared LED light therapy to rebuild collagen and elastin. Such skin rejuvenation treatments can also be done in a beauty salon, but Silk’n FaceTite Ritual is the first device that combines these three energies in one single device for home use, making it easier and cheaper.
In layman’s terms, it helps to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, it smooths and tightens the skin, and it lifts the facial contours and reduces pigmentation. For bright, firm and supple skin that is above all younger-looking.

Skin rejuvenation with the Silk’n FaceTite device asks for some time and patience. You need to treat each problem zone of your skin 15 minutes, twice a week for 10 weeks. Good results can be seen in about 5 weeks though, but for optimal results it is necessary to treat your skin for 10 weeks. After the 10 weeks schedule, you can use FaceTite once every two weeks to maintain the results you have achieved. And it’s easy to use!
The recommended zones to use the device on are: Forehead, cheeks, around the eyes, upper lip, chin and neck and it is recommended to use the Silk’n Bright facial cleansing brush before you start.
This red massaging device, is charged via a USB cable and deep cleanses and massages the skin with high frequency vibrations or pulsations (sonic technology), removing dirt and makeup, unclogs pores and gently exfoliates the skin.
I suffer with rosacea and was excited to read that red light also promotes healing at the cellular level and can help reduce redness.
The FaceTite device is small and light-weight, and runs on mains-power, although it is worth noting that you will need an EU to UK adapter plug to use it.
There are 5 settings to choose from, with 1 being the lowest and the best to start on and 5 being the highest and most effective. I haven’t used it above 3 yet as I found anything higher was uncomfortably hot, especially around my eye sockets, but my skin is quite sensitive.
The device has a clever safety mechanism which is the built-in heat stabilizer. This ensures that you cannot burn your skin, because it automatically pauses when your skin becomes too hot. After your skin has cooled down, it starts heating again.
To Use
- Choose one area to work on at a time
- Apply a thin layer of Slider Gel to your chosen treatment zone which lets the three energies pass into your skin. Instead of the Slider Gel, you can also use the Hyaluronic Serum: this will give an immediate tighter look and feel which lasts all day long, ideal if you have a party for example.
- Power on the FaceTite and select your level 1 to 5
- Place the treatment head against your skin and circle around your skin
- Continue the treatment for 15 minutes, adding more Slider Gel if it dries out
- Once 15 minutes is up, move to the next section and repeat
- When complete, wipe off the Slider Gel, rinse your skin and apply your skincare, clean the device with a damp cloth. You can also apply the Hyaluronic Serum right after, this will nourish your skin. Finish off with your day or night cream and you’re ready!
The first 5 minutes on each zone gets your skin up to temperature at 43°C, with your inner skin layers safely heating up to around 50°C. The remaining 10 minutes keeps your skin at these optimum temperatures, and doses your skin in red infrared light.
If you wish to adjust the temperature, simply press the power button to cycle through the five heat levels.
This is how Silk’n FaceTite Ritual works
Initial Results
From the very first use, my skin feels softer and smoother to touch but it takes 5 weeks to see noticeable results and 10 weeks to get the best results. Sagging areas lift, cheeks plump, skin feels fresher, firmer, hydrated and bouncy. And it gets brighter too, with a healthy glow.
Once you have completed your 10 weeks treatment, you can switch to maintenance sessions, one every 2 weeks and I cannot wait to share with you my results.
Where to buy
Silk’n FaceTite Ritual can be bought from different shops like: Silkn.eu, Boots.com, Currentbody.com and Amazon.co.uk
That’s good that you’ve noticed a bit of a change already. I get quite a bit of redness on my cheeks so this may be right for me x
This sounds really good, especially that you noticed a difference so quickly. I’m very lucky that (for my age) I don’t really have wrinkles but I’ll be getting one of these as soon as I notice any.
this sounds fab and its definitely a product that would be well in need now that beauty salons are closed. I had light therapy many years ago but love the thought of being able to do it at home
This product looks so great. It can be so useful for the face skin care. I think women will love it.
Ooh I am really looking forward to seeing the results of this! I hope it works so I can get one for myself and my mum
This sounds like such an interesting device. I have just hit 30 and starting to see signs of ageing creeping in so this might be quite useful!
