Review: Rutland GTX® Walking Boots from Hotter Shoes

As a family we really enjoy talking long walks and have previous taken family walking holidays with HF Holidays to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.

This year the plan was to tackle the Jurassic Coast and to take part in a 13-mile sponsored walk in aid of local charity Julia’s House, which is a local hospice for children with life-limiting conditions.

We are still waiting to see if this walk will still be able to take place, but in the meantime we are surviving lockdown by taking a walk a day locally.

I was sent some Rutland GTX® Walking Boots from Hotter Shoes to review and they are the most comfortable walking boots I have ever had the pleasure of wearing.

Rutland Boots

These sturdy lace-up ankle boots provide excellent support around the ankle and underfoot thanks to soft cushioning and their signature flexible and durable sole.

Hotter Rutland Boots

The Oil Aqua Nubuck upper is enhanced with Gore-Tex® product technology, which keeps rainwater out but allows inside moisture to escape; keeping feet dry, whatever the weather and thanks to the rain we had back in February and early March, I have really had the chance to put them to the test.

Puddle

I am pleased to report that they kept my feet warm and dry, even when faced with huge, seemingly impassable puddles.

Moors Valley

They have also kept my feet nice and cool in the recent warmer weather.

Canford Heath

The Rutland GTX® Walking Boots have an RRP of £119, but Hotter Shoes currently have a 25% off everything using code UKEAST taking them down to £89.25

  5. A decent pair of boots are a must when going for a long walk! I did a 26 mile sponsored walk years ago when I was 16 wearing just my trainers, the blisters I had were unbelievable! I really hope your sponsored walk still goes ahead and good luck.
