During lockdown, on thing that has kept us sane is heading out and about on our scooters, but at 13, Isaac has moved away from a child’s stunt scooter and wanted something a little more grown up.
Did you know that Microscooter also make adult scooters?
We were invited to review the Micro BMW City Adult Scooter and it was love at first sight for Isaac.
The scooter takes a couple of minutes to assemble, but simply attaching the handlebars to the stalk and tightening with the enclosed allen key.
Once built, Isaac could not wait to get outside and take it for a test drive around the block.
When two of the biggest names in engineering and design combine exciting things happen, not just the BMW badge on the handlebars.
The scooter has large, 200mm wheels which cover the pavements quickly and evenly and a kickstand which allows the scooter to stand upright.
Isaac hasn’t had his teenage growth spurt yet, but I am confident that the scooter will grow with him as it has an adjustable handlebar which you can set to your perfect scooting position. In fact, it has one of the highest adjustable handlebar heights (73-103cm) making it ideal for teenagers and adults.
For those that commute to school (or work), the easy click folding makes the scooter easy to carry and store – it evens fits in his school backpack.
The scooter itself steers like a bike for maximum control, has a good quality grippy footplate and is made from a durable and solid aluminium frame, able to withstand the changeable British weather.
Of course, the most important thing is the quality of the ride and the scooter is super quick and super smooth, gliding over pavements with ease.
Isaac did let Abbey and I have a go too (briefly), and we were both impressed by how smooth the ride was.
The Micro BMW City Adult Scooter is available exclusively from Microscooter and has an RRP of £199.95
