Review: KEEN’s latest kids summer shoe collection

We are a family of keen walkers, even more so in the last 18 months as we have explored more of our local area.

Many of our walks can be quite challenging, especially along the Jurassic coast, so I always insist that the kids wear sensible shoes, which are not only comfortable, but feature a god grip on tricky terrain and look great.

The kids have been wearing KEEN shoes for the last few years and we love their range of shoes, which range from winter walking boots through to funky summer sandals.

KEEN’s latest kids collection boasts a diverse range of playful, fashion forward styles in vibrant, fun colours sure to inspire adventure in even the most junior of explorers. From toddler tough hikers through to playful water sandals, all models are infused with the brands’ trademark values of durability, quality, comfort and fit, lovingly tried and trusted by little people and their grown-ups all across the world.

Keen sandals

Keen Uneek SNK

At the age of 13, Isaac is becoming quite style conscious and has moved away from wearing sandals.

He was sent the Keen Uneek SNK to review and loves the fushion between sandals and trainers.

These ultra-comfy open-air adventure trainer pushes boundaries so you can, too. With a countered, adjustable fit, unending comfort, and a breathable knit upper made entirely from recycled PET plastic bottles and they are quick drying, so can be worn in and out of water.

He loves that they are open at the sides, as they help to keep his feet nice and cool in warmer weather and easily expel any water if he goes for a paddle in the sea.

Older Kids’ Newport H2

Eliza opted for the NewPort H2 in Rainbow Tye Die.

This supportive sandal can take anything Eliza can dish out and because they have enclosed toes, they can be worn anywhere, even climbing her favourite tree.

The sturdy soles have a good tread and the upper has an adjustable hook-and-loop strap which lets kids put them on themselves, plus quick-drying webbing which is perfect in and out of the water, making these shoes the perfect summer sandal.

Seacamp II CNX

The Seacamp II is the essential hybrid water sandal for younger active kids like Sebby. This low-profile sandal allows little feet increased flexibility and freedom, with enclosed toes and a sturdy, grippy rubber sole.

This sandal also features KEEN’s Secure Fit Lace Capture System, which makes it easy for him to put on and take off himself.

The KEEN Kids collection can be found at and selected lifestyle and sporting goods retailers now.
