Review: Elmer the Elephant My First Floor Puzzle

My granddaughter Lilah, is almost one – where did that time go?

Her entire nursery is decorated with elephants and my thoughts have turned to birthday and Christmas presents for her.

One particular elephant I have a soft spot for is Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, a children’s picture book series by the British author David McKee.

For those who don’t know Elmer, he is a multicoloured elephant who lives happily among a grey herd, and after he tries and fails to hide his true self, he learns that his friends love him for his uniqueness.

We were invited to review the Elmer the Elephant My First Floor Puzzle from Ravensburger.

Playing with shapes sorters and puzzles has helps children’s physical skills, helping to develop fine motor skills through the coordination of small muscles and learning hand-eye coordination.

Lilah Elmer

This 16 piece floor puzzle has been designed for children aged 2+, and is made from super-thick laminated card which will really stand the test of time.

Each puzzle piece is nice and large, making the puzzle easy to handle to small hands and has a linen finish print to minimise glare on the puzzle image.

Elmer Puzzle Lilah

The finished puzzle measures 49 x 36cm when complete.

I cannot wait to be able to out this together with Lilah as she gets older!

The Elmer My First Floor Puzzle has an RRP of £9.99 and is available from all good toy shops.
