Disney’s Frozen was first released back in December 2013 and was the very first film that we took my then, almost 3 year old Eliza to see.
It is safe to say that she was hooked and she has loved the movie franchise ever since, watching all short films, collecting the toys and dolls and even meeting Queen Elsa and Princess Anna at Disney World.
Frozen II was released last year and it is safe to say that she loved this film, as much as the original.
Sadly, she has outgrown the Elsa dress now, but Frozen toys are still a big hit with Eliza and she was very excited when we received the Disney Frozen 2 Magic Ice Sleeve and Disney Frozen 2 Deluxe Elsa Styling Head to review.
Disney Frozen 2 Magic Ice Sleeve
The sleeve features pretty jewel detailing and lace trimming, reflective of Queen Elsa’s dress and the icy blue glitter bracelet secures the spray ice can underneath your arm.
The spray ice trigger is connected to the bottom of the ring so simply lift your finger to activate the magic ice (silly string). We did find this a bit difficult, but our can was slighted dented so not sure if it affected the trigger.
Magic ice refill cans or the water bottle slide easily into the bottom of the bracelet. I have to admit, we have had these toys before and the cans of silly string run out far too fast, although to increase the longevity of play with the Frozen Magic Snow Sleeve, the can of silly string can be replaced by a refillable water bottle which can be used in place of the silly string for endless play. Refill cans are also available to buy.
The Frozen Magic Snow Sleeve has an RRP of £24.99 and is available from all good toy shops.
Disney Frozen 2 Deluxe Elsa Styling Head
The Elsa Styling Head features Elsa’s iconic, beautiful, shiny blonde hair that is perfect for brushing and styling.
The set comes with 18 hair play accessories including: ribbon hair wrap, 2 colour change hair extensions, 2 customisable hair combs, 6 barrettes, 4 hair elastics, Snowflake brush, and colour change wand applicator with dish.
Elsa’s hair is wavy and styled half up in a pony tail, with a stiff fringe. It is long enough to practice plaiting, either a normal one or her signature fish tail plait and you can store all your accessories in the base.
I would recommend the Deluxe Elsa Styling Head for children aged 4 and over. It has an RRP of £34.99 and is available from all good toy shops.
