Review: Batman Batcave Playset and Launch and Defend Batmobile

Batman

With Christmas just around the corner, it is time to start thinking about Christmas presents.

One over-riding thing that all my boys have loved at some point or other is superheroes and Batman is still a firm favourite.

We were sent the DC Batman Mission 3-in-1 Batcave Playset and Batman Launch and Defend Batmobile from Spin Master to review.

Sebastian could not wait for me to get this out of the box, however, it is a bit of a challenge to build so if buying it for Christmas, I would recommend building it the night before without small hands trying to help!!

The instructions come as images and there are no numbers on the parts, so it’s a bit of guesswork and looking at the box to work out what goes where, but we got there in the end.

Gotham City

The 3in1 Batcave Playset has 3 levels to play out missions. You can fix the sections together or split the sections apart and use separately to extend play ideas.

Batcave

The playset requires 3 x AAA batteries, to operate the computer on the Batcave side, and the Bat signal on the Gotham City side.

Batman

The set is packed with some brilliant features – an armory reveal chamber, secret escape door, jail cell, zipline, and a moving telephone pole. You can even dress the 4inch Batman action figure in his armour.

Batman Zipline

The DC Batman Mission 3-in-1 Batcave Playset has an RRP of £44.99 and is available from all good toy shops.

Batman Launch and Defend Batmobile

The Batman Launch and Defend Batmobile was a real hit with the kids.

Batman

The Batmobile itself charges with built-in USB cable, but the controller requires 2 AAA batteries.

USB

The Batmobile comes with a 4inch Batman action figure and works with any 10cm figure from the Batman figure collection.

Batmobile

The Batmobile is surprisingly fast, but the real highlight is pressing the action button on the controller, which automatically launches Batman out of the cockpit!

When driving it inside, we even managed to land Batman back in his cockpit a couple of times.

The Batman Launch and Defend Batmobile has an RRP of £29.99 and is available in all good toy shops.

How much fun does this look! Batman is one of those characters that just keeps on going over the years isn’t it? With more things coming out both to play with and for film / TV.
