Project 365 2015, Week 45

This week has been a tough one for Eliza as the poor little thing was floored by a nasty stomach bug. Eliza is rarely ill but I think starting school has introduced all sorts of new bugs that she has had two bugs in as many weeks and sadly she missed her first school photo.

We started the week having foggy fun at Chessington World of Adventures to make the most of the last day of Half Term, before coming back to earth with a bump and back to school, but Isaac was awarded his 200m swimming certificate this week.

By Thursday Eliza was feeling better and we had our fingers crossed that it would be 6th time lucky for our Virgin Balloon flight (my 40th birthday present), but sadly the weather conspired against us again and it was cancelled. We didn’t have much luck on Thursday evening either as we were supposed to go on a cruise around Poole harbour to watch the fireworks but sadly it was too windy to get out onto the water, but we did enjoy a glass of fizz on the boat and watched the fireworks from the deck.

It was back to swimming lessons on Friday for Sebby and he swam unaided with his swimfin and underwater to catch a sinker for the very first time!!

On Saturday we headed to the Lighthouse in Poole to watch Dinosaur Zoo which is a show all about dinosaurs with interactive puppets. It is strangely un-nerving having a real looking, life-size T-Rex sniffing your head!

Here is my week in pictures:

  2. Some really fun photos there. Love that huge pumpkin and the fireworks look beautiful. Well done to Isaac for his 200m too.

I think N’s been really lucky not having had any bugs yet (touch wood), just a slight sore throat in the first couple of weeks of school.

  3. such a shame when they catch all the bugs going at school, sad that she missed her first photo.
Dinosaur zoo sounds good, looks like the children enjoyed it.
Well done on the swimming certificate, but my fave this week is the giant pumpkin.

  4. Bit late commenting this week. I knew about Eliza being ill and I hope Sebby is on the mend now. The ballooning sounds frustrating – we are supposed to be doing it. Must get organised.
