Project 365 2015 – Week 29

We are well and truly on the countdown to the school holidays now, with just two more days to go. If I am honest I don’t really see the point of them being there now as apparently for the last week they have just been watching films and playing games. Is Alvin and the Chipmunk educational, really?

Last weekend was a Thomas the Tank Engine filled spectacular.  On the Saturday we visited Thomas Land and Sunday saw us head for the bright lights of London for the premier of the new Thomas movie; Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure. We abandoned plans to go to a museum and walked the kids around London to look at some of the famous sites including Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and Downing Street.

Every child in Isaac and Eliza’s school have been working hard on a mosaic to celebrate the areas links with the Magna Carta and on Monday it was put up on the school wall.  I think they have done an amazing job and on Wednesday I was invited to the school as a thank you for all my hard work along with the other PFA members and parents who have volunteered at the school.

On Thursday we took Sebastian to the Oceanarium in Bournemouth. This turtle makes a beeline for him everytime we visit, it is as if they have a psychic connection.

Saturday was a day of opposites.  In the morning we headed for the beach to celebrate Mollie’s 7th birthday and in the afternoon it was Avon Valley Country Park to celebrate Megan’s 7th birthday. We were all shattered afterwards but had a brilliant day.

  1. I know what you mean about the last few days of school – mine have been to the beach (sunbathing, not educational in any way) and watched DVD’s! Have a lovely summer. Kaz x
