No Dull Days with Bassetts Vitamins

Autumn is one of my favourite times of year for getting out and about with the kids.

Nothing beats scrunching through, or burying yourself in a huge pile of crunchy leaves, but the one downside of autumn is the shortening of the days.

It is still dark when the alarm clock goes off in the morning and the light is fading fast when the kids are picked up from school, especially when they have after school clubs.

With darkness descending as soon as they get home from school, getting enough vitamin D can be a challenge.

Department of Health experts now recommending that during autumn and winter everyone should consider taking a daily supplement containing 10 micrograms of Vitamin D to protect bone and muscle health. Bassetts Vitamins 3-6 Multivitamins + Vitamin D & Calcium are delicious soft and chewy pastilles made to help ensure your little one(s) get their all-important daily Vitamin D during the autumn and winter months!

Vitamin D and Calcium are both necessary for normal bone growth and development in children and signs of vitamin D deficiency can manifest themselves in common health conditions such as constant coughs and colds, tiredness and fatigue, seasonal affective disorder, poor bone and tooth health and low mood.

These look like a fun way to get the children to have more vitamins. It is better to keep them healthy to help with not catching a cold around this time of year.

  7. We were recently advised by the health visitor to give Soph a Vitamin D supplement so will take a look at these ! x

  8. A great way to ensure our little ones get those all important vitamins. I love the photos in your post x

  9. We always ensure that our family always gets the required amount of vitamins and nutrients. Vitamin D is essential to allow the body to absorb calcium. Like you say, with the darker days supplements are a real requirement.

Vitamin D is so important. We used to have to take it in the Middle East during the summer ironically.

These look great. I worry about the amount of Vitamin D the boys get over winter, but I think they may be a little too young for these ones.
