My Favourite Holiday reads!

Going on holiday with kids in tow isn’t always a relaxing experience.

Gone are the days of chilling out around the pool everyday with a good book, however, I always take a book with me and normally manage to read for an hour or two when the kids are enjoying kids club.

Whilst enjoying a press trip to Rhodes back in 2014, I was introduced to the very lovely Rachael Lucas who is not only a blogger, but an author too.

We were lucky enough to go to Turkey in 2015 and I took Rachel’s first book, Sealed with a Kiss.

I read the book from start to finish during that holiday and it reignited my passion for reading. I have since read her follow up book, Sealed with a Christmas Kiss and on our cruise last year I read Coming Up Roses.

This year we are not going abroad but still have a couple of short breaks coming up and the good news is that Rachael has another book out, ready for me to take with me, The State of Grace.

I guess I should really find new authors to read now the kids are getting older as I used to devour books as a child and young adult, but finding the right one can be tricky.

If you are stuck for titles to read on holiday, Travel Republic have launched their beach book club to help you find your perfect book, whether you prefer a romance novel, a horror book or action and adventure, there is something for everyone!

What is your perfect book to take on holiday?

  1. Just finished “Sealed with a kiss”, lovely story, good writing really makes you want to move up there ! I would advise that you read “Sealed with a kiss” first to get into the story / characters and not just dive into this one as it follows on and rounds off the whole story well. Hopefully the author will provide us all with a sequel.
