Must see areas on your trip to London

If you’re heading to the country’s Capital, don’t forget to take a trip to some of the surrounding areas.  Often the centre can be busy and unforgiving, especially during peak holiday periods; so, if you’re wanting to make the most of your venture to London by staying at the Park Grand Lancaster Gate Hotel, pop these locations on your list and experience everything they have to offer.

London Bridge

This surprising little area of London boasts an array of things to do and see. From the infamous Tower Bridge, perfect for taking photos in front of, to the Thames Clipper water taxi, you’ll never be short of an experience. For all of the breakfast and brunch lovers out there, you could even head up the Shard, the tallest building in the UK, and indulge in a tasty breakfast at Aqua Shard for less than £20! Avo on toast with a view? Don’t mind if I do!

Purley

At first glance, Purley may seem like a regular suburban town on the edge of London. But, on further inspection, you’ll find that it’s dusted with hidden gems such as the three local golf clubs, a leisure centre and multiple fitness clubs. Maybe you’re heading there for the day and getting one of the many London-Bridge-to-Purley train services, and are in need of somewhere to eat? You’ll find an array of long-standing restaurants from tapas and pizza to burgers and more.

Chelsea

This affluent area of London is a must-visit on your next trip. Whether you’re a lover of shopping, hunting for antiques or brunching in style, there’s something for everyone in Chelsea. The boutiques are to die for and are as manicured and well presented as the local residents; the same can be said for the restaurants too, with Gordon Ramsay’s three Michelin star establishment located on Royal Hospital Road.

Notting Hill

Vibrant and trendy are the best words to describe this beautiful area. More than just the setting for a famous movie, Notting Hill is the location of one of Europe’s biggest festivals too. It’s full to the brim of restaurants, bars and shop, and is host to one of the best markets in London, Portobello Road Market. A must see if you’re heading to the Capital with your friends or family.

Nottinghill

No matter your reasons for making a trip to London, whether it’s for business or pleasure, don’t just stick to the main central locations, dare to experience more and head to one of these fabulous destinations.
