Mighty Claws is one of our favourite family days out in Bournemouth, having opened back in June 2017.
Swing, cut and slice through the epic 18 holes of the prehistoric Mighty Claws Valley course, dodging the scary animatronic Raptors, ginormous T-Rex and a whole host of ancient animated creatures; travelling through caves, around smoking volcanoes and giant waterfalls…
Mighty Claws Adventure Golf is located at Playgolf Bournemouth – just a 10-minute drive from the seafront at Southbourne and about 20 minutes from the town centre. TIP: It’s behind Tesco on Castle Lane West.
As soon as you step into the Jurassic world of Sweet Claw Valley, you enter a prehistoric world, complete with animatronic and model dinosaurs with sound effects around every corner.
Every hole has a board with handy hints and tips about where to aim the golf ball for the best chance of getting a hole-in-one.
Some of the holes are easier than others and the kids managed one or two holes-in-one each – even Sebby managed his first one on today’s visit.
We did lose a couple of balls in the water too.
The Mighty Claws course takes between 60-90 minutes to complete, depending on your level of skill and how busy the course is as there can be a small wait at each hole.
And how many times the kids want to stop and pose by a dinosaur!

The Mighty Claws Adventure Golf Club looks like such a fun place to visit. Love mini golf and this place looks so amazing with the dinosaurs. I often go Bournemouth, so will have to visit.

One of my favourite childhood memories is playing mini golf in Bournemouth every year as a child! It wasn’t anything like this though! This looks fabulous!

This looks so much fun! I love little mini golf courses, and they’re even better when they have a theme. I can’t wait til Pickle is a bit older and we can take him on days out like this.
