Lockdown Lunch – Spaghetti Dogs

I don’t know about you, but since we have been in lockdown the kids have turned into ravenous creatures who clear the food in the cupboards within hours.

I have been trying to come up with fun things for lunch that will keep their tummies full and not break the bank.

One cheap and easy lunch they all enjoy is one we have fondly named Spaghetti Dogs and it is really quick and easy to do.

All you need is a tin, or jar of hotdogs and some spaghetti.

Chop the hotdogs into three or four pieces and get the kids to spear them with some spaghetti.

Pop in a pan and boil to cook the hotdogs and spaghetti.

Once cooked, serve in a bowl and eat.

If you want to add more flavour you can add some tomato pasta sauce and cheese over the top, but my kids prefer it plain.

Have you made Spaghetti Dogs before?

  1. I’ve never made these before but I’ve seen them a few times online. They sound like they’d be good provided kids aren’t fussy eaters.
