If you have not heard of Disney’s Lion Guard, it is a TV series shown on Disney Jr that tells the story of Kion, Simba and Nala’s son from the original film the Lion King.
Ever since we got the Defend the Pride Lands Playset this time last year, it has been a favourite toy of Sebastian and the children I look after after school.
Sebby has a bit of an obsession with the ‘bad guys’ in any program or film, so Scar really appeals to him.
In the Lion Guard series, Scar appears as a Great Lion of the Past – one who helped Hyena’s. The Great Lions of the Past are seen in the sky and their voices are in the wind and are the Lions that appear when Kion uses the Roar. But Evil Lions of the Past like Scar appear in fire unleashed by the Roar using the Bakora.
There are lots of features including a light up Scar with pop out flames, as he is an evil lion and can only be seen in fire; A lava pool trap which launches a ball of lava; A collapsing bridge which gives way at the push of a button, a snake attack, a crocodile pool, where a scary crocodile swims waiting to catch anyone that falls from the bride and a monkey launching tree trap which doubles up as a swing for Kion.
The playset comes with the shows main character Kion, a lion cub with movable head and legs.
The playset features fun lights and sounds with the play flames popping out and lighting up and the head rises!
The Lion Guard Rise of Scar playset has an RRP: £49.99 and is currently available on offer to buy at Smyths toy store.
