Joseph Joseph introduce Stack the Intelligent Waste™ System

Following the success of their Totem waste separation and recycling unit last year, homeware innovators Joseph Joseph have launched Stack, the versatile recycling separation system.

When it comes to recycling many households still improvise using carrier bags and boxes, Stack offers a stylish, space-saving solution. The slimline modular units can either be stacked neatly on top of each other or placed side by side to maximise space and blend discreetly into any kitchen.

Each unit has a sliding lid to hide messy recycling, a removable inner bucket for easy emptying and colour-coded tabs to identify recycling types. The unique design allows easy access to all compartments even when stacked and the inner buckets fit both custom-fit liners and standard bin liners.

Intelligent Waste

As a recycling starter kit with added functionality, Stack can be bought as a 2-piece set as well as a 3-piece set which includes a ventilated food waste caddy with an odour filter. Each unit can also be bought separately to suit individual household recycling requirements.

Our old recycling system was large bags from Kleeneze which were not only a nightmare to clean, but were untidy and bulky. This unit takes up less than half the space and I like the fact that I can seperate the items into glass and cardboard. I have also started getting rid of the food waste in the green bin, although we do plan on starting composting once the garden is finished.

Intelligent Waste™

The other main benefit of the Intelligent Waste™ system is that you can close the lids, keeping any odours in the bin itself, plus it is really easy to clean. We have been using this for two months now and it still looks as good as new.

We have the unit stacked in the ultility room, but if you have the cupboard space you can store it out of sight under the sink, or wherever you have the space.

For 2016, Joseph Joseph have expanded their Intelligent Waste category working in collaboration with the award winning design studio PearsonLloyd, and designed a comprehensive range of waste and recycling solutions to accommodate all sizes of household.

I am a big fan of the full Joseph Joseph range, which includes food preparation, tableware and serving, storage and cleaning houseware products and is available from the Joseph Joseph website, leading department stores and independent cookware stores nationwide. Prices start at £28, Stack is available at www.josephjoseph.com.

  1. Oh my, I need this in my utility room. I can’t begin to tell you the stress that rubbish causes me!! We use the ‘bags’ and ‘boxes’ that you speak off, they spill and leak all over the place and only ‘I’ seem to be able to notice and clean up the mess. It drives me around the bend to the point that I start shouting and moaning at anyone who will listen. For the sake of my marriage I need this in my life 🙂

  2. This would be really handy for my parents as the council has forced them to do recycling and they are in a right old mess with me – quite latterly (don’t ask!) so anything that help recycling is a big help!!
