Joe Brown’s Painted Tulip Dress

I love wearing dresses and the summer holiday’s is the perfect time to stay cool in a lightweight summer dress.

I was asked by JD Williams to review one of their summer dresses and after much deliberation I finally chose the Painted Tulip Dress by on of my favourite brands, Joe Brown’s.

The navy, white and pink knee-length dress is drawn in at the waist and has a gorgeous skater style skirt that is perfect for twirling and swishing, but has an added cotton lining which saves any blushes if the wind catches it, which it frequently did.

The washed-out print was inspired by the tulip fields in Amsterdam, brightening up your wardrobe and your day.

The dress kept me cool and comfortable on our recent holiday but when wearing it in the future I will add a belt or a ribbon around the elastic waist to dress it up a little more.

I tend to live in maxi dresses in navy and white so the introduction of a shorter dress and a little colour at the hem of the dress made a lovely change and the dress made me feel feminine and girly.

Do you have a summer style that you stick with?
