Hot Wheels NitroBot Review

During half term we were lucky enough to head to Westfield in London to go to Kidzania and typically arrived early. Isaac, Eliza and Sebastian hate shopping with a passion so I was a little worried about what we were going to do with them, but thankfully Gadget Show Live were there alongside a large Hot Wheels Testing Zone where they could take part in racing challenges in the where they could make the most impossible Hot Wheels track systems and then race just like The Connectors.

Did you know that since 1968, more than four billion Hot Wheels cars have been produced making Hot Wheels the most prolific diecast car manufacturer in the world!

Of course big brother Kian couldn’t wait to get his hands on the Hot Wheels sets and using blocks, track pieces and loopy loops we created an epic track that not only looked fun but actually worked!!

Of course a turn at building an epic track in Westfield also meant that the boys were itching to do more once we got home.

We were sent Hot Wheels NitroBot to review just in time for half term which is a fabulous add-on pack to go with any existing sets you have, or just make up on its own.

It was a bit of a faff to get it out of the packaging and the set takes around 15 minutes to put together, but the boys had great fun with it.  Be careful of the launcher though as it can really fling those cars and Sebby’s fingers did get in the way of one.

It’s you versus a giant diabolical robot made of out of cars!

Nitro Bot is attacking the city, and he’s captured a car, but watch out – get too close and he might rip the road out from underneath you!

The only way to take him down before he conquers the city is to face him head on.

You can launch cars from the left or the middle! The trick is to keep moving your launcher and aiming your attack until with skill and timing you score a direct hit, causing the head of the Nitro Bot to fly off and his arm swing down in defeat, releasing the captured car and sending it racing to freedom!

We cannot wait to get it hooked up to the rest of our Hot Wheels sets over half term………..watch this space!
