Harry Potter Gift Guide 2020

All my kids have gone through a stage of loving Harry Potter and it is currently Eliza’s turn to love all things magical.

It only feels like yesterday that we decorated her room in unicorns, but they have been swept aside for Hogwarts themed wall stickers, bedding and even a den.

Her entire Christmas list has Harry Potter merchandise on it in one form or another, so I thought I would put together a helpful gift guide for those that are struggling for the perfect gift.

Harry Potter Backpack

Perfect for school, days out and sleepovers, this Metallic Harry Potter backpack from CoolClobber goes everywhere with Eliza.

Harry Potter Backpack

It measures H: 28cm x W: 28cm x D: 10cm, has a grey fabric back and padded straps so it is comfortable to wear. Even a Burrowing Owl took a shine to it at our visit to the Hawk Conservancy Trust.

Pyjamas / Night Wear

All little Wizards and Witches need to keep warm and snug during the winter months, so why not buy them some Harry Potter Hogwarts Pyjamas.

This matching set from Cool Clobber includes a long sleeve top with the Hogwarts Logo and striped legging style bottoms with an elasticated waist and cuffs.

Harry Potter LEGO

There are so many sets to choose from, but all to suit different budgets.

LEGO Hedwig

One of Eliza’s favourites is the fabulous LEGO Hedwig the Owl Figure Collectible Display Model with Moving Wings and a close second is the purple LEGO Night Bus.

Eliza Bedroom

If money was no option, this year’s new release is Diagon Alley, but at £369.99 it is a little on the pricey side.

Hogwarts Advent Calendar

The 2020 Harry Potter advent calendar from Primark has been in the news this week and it quickly surpassed her wish for a Harry Potter LEGO Advent Calendar. This advent calendar has been made to look like Hogwarts, with 24 empty drawers that you can fill with whatever you like year after year.

Tickets to see Hogwarts in the Snow

For the very first time, from Saturday 14th November – Sunday 17th January 2021, you will not only get to the the infamous Hogwarts school set in snow, but you will also be able to explore another of their favourite sets in the snow as Diagon Alley undergoes a wintery transformation at Warner Bros Studio Tour.

Hogwarts

In addition, many more of the iconic sets housed at the Studio Tour will receive a festive makeover. The Gryffindor Common Room and Boys’ Dormitory will be decorated with the original props including handmade Christmas cards, some of which were created by the cast members during production. Fireplaces throughout the Studio Tour (including those in the Leaky Cauldron and Great Hall) will be ‘lit’ with special effects fire, created by John Richardson and the SFX team using a combination of water vapour and lighting effects.

Disclaimer: We were sent the Harry Potter Backpack and Pyjama’s from Cool Clobber, who have a large range of character clothing and gifts. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
