Gigantosaurus: The Game on Nintendo Switch

Sebastian is still dinosaur mad, so when we were invited to review the new game, Gigantosaurus on the Nintendo Switch, we jumped at the chance.

Based on the bestselling book by Jonny Duddle and now an animated adventure on Disney Jr, it features four curious young dinosaur friends explore their world and seek out and learn about the Giganotosaurus, the biggest, fiercest dinosaur of all.

The dinosaurs, named Rocky, Bill, Tiny, and Mazu go on adventures while following their herd. Rocky is the courageous one, Bill is the most timid, Tiny is the smallest yet most playful, and Mazu is the most inquisitive. The four friends look at things such as mapping the stars and searching for flowers but most importantly, they are asserting their independence and learning to do things away from the safety of the herd.

In Gigantosaurus: The Game, players can explore and race across the vast, prehistoric world of Gigantosaurus in a one-of-a-kind dinosaur adventure; part saving the world, part rally racing–and all gigantic fun!

Rocky

This Disney dino tale is part saving the world, part super race, and all giant fun! Rocky, Tiny, Mazu and Bill have scary problems, like the meteor that’s blocked up Giganto’s volcano!

Only you and your dino friends can dare to solve puzzles and save the day–but you might need Giganto’s powers too! And the end of each story is the start of a super rally to the next zone. Will you be the most roarsome adventurer or the fastes trace

You can choose to play as one of your favourite dino buddies from the show, who will help you discover secrets, solve puzzles and save the day.

The game is aimed at children aged 3+ and Sebby (at age 6) found it easy to play.

You can run around the map collecting seeds or jump in one of the vehicles and race around a track, collecting boosts to help you snatch victory. Each dinosaur in your party has their own special ability and there are clear prompts, that even the youngest player will understand, as to when and where you’ll need to switch a character to help complete the tasks.

Sebby Switch

Sebby is a keen gamer, probably because he has older brothers to challenge him and found this game too easy. There were no real challenges for him to complete as everything is marked on the map, making it easy to find.
