Shop online
My first tip is to start by looking online. Shopping in this way makes it really easy to compare prices and get the best deals.

Shop in the Black Friday sales
The Black Friday sales are just around the corner. If you have your gift list written and costed out you can grab yourself some fantastic bargains. It is best to focus in on the more expensive items on your list. Buying these in the sales will save you the most money.

If you are not able to find what you want in the sales, do not worry because you may still be able to get money off. At this time of the year, a lot of retailers, big and small, have some fantastic vouchers available. So, before you pay for your purchases go online and see if you can find one.
Break down multi-pack items into separate gifts
Buying multipacks of nice toiletries or special treats and breaking them down into separate gifts can be a great way to save money. But, you do to be careful with this approach. Before doing it, take the time to work out whether you will actually end up paying more once you have factored in the cost of buying a gift bag or box for each item.
Make some of the gifts yourself
If you are good with your hands, making some of the items yourself is worth considering. You can find literally thousands of ideas online, including some in-depth how-to videos that make it practically impossible for you to go wrong. Some of these gifts use materials you already have laying around and only take a few minutes to make. For example, you can take a new mug, some string and wax candles and create a mug candle in just 10 minutes.
However, if you are planning to try out this idea it makes sense to start making your gifts now. Things can go wrong, so you need to allow yourself enough time to get everything done and maybe make one or two extra items.
