To enable parents to mark the special milestone of buying their child’s first pair of shoes, Start-rite has developed a magical personalised storybook set in Start-rite shoemaker Mr Smith’s workshop, starring your child’s momentous firsts.
Each film comes free with selected First Shoes. It’s very simple to create your personalised video, which you can then keep and share with friends and family via email, Facebook and Twitter.
This is how it works:
Within each shoe box of selected First Shoes styles is a unique six digit code – customers simply log on to www.startritefirstshoes.co.uk to enter their code and create their personalised video.
I think it is a really lovely idea and the perfect way to remember buying your child’s first shoes.
Sebastian is not yet walking but I have been sent a code to make a sample video. It is really easy to do, simply upload a picture of them wearing their shoes and 4 more pictures of your choice e.g first birthday, first tooth etc.
The video is stunning and I actually had a tear in my eye watching it, especially as the shoe maker actually says your childs name. I cannot wait to make a real one once Sebastian starts walking but you can see the results here of my sample one.
