Elvie Kegel Exercise Tracker – Your most personal trainer

Has bouncing on the trampoline become an activity of the past since having children?

Or perhaps, when you need to go to the loo, you really really need to go right now!

Did you know that one in three women suffers from pelvic floor issues as a result of pregnancy and childbirth, aging, high impact sport and genetics and that these challenges can affect women of all ages?

The answer is often banded around from health professionals encouraging you to do your pelvic floor exercises, particularly during pregnancy and after having the baby. However, if you are anything like me you often don’t have a clue if you are doing them correctly, or even often enough. Indeed, experts warn that around 30 per cent of women are doing their Kegel exercises wrong, while many others give up because they don’t feel they are getting results.

Elvie is a small Kegel exercise tracker and trainer built to encourage and help women strengthen their pelvic floor muscles. The small pebbled-shaped pod connects to an app via Bluetooth.

Elvie

Using a patented system of force and motion sensors, Elvie guides women through various fun five minute workouts using ground-breaking real-time biofeedback which helps users do the exercise correctly. As you build up your pelvic floor strength, you will move to higher, more challenging levels, and keep track of your progress with a personalised LV score on the home page in the app. The goal is to strengthen pelvic floor muscles the right way, which is essential for building core strength and improving health, sexual and emotional well-being.

Practicing regular Kegel exercises helps strengthen pelvic floor muscles by developing long-lasting core strength from the inside out, reducing lower back pain and even improving your sex life. Elvie features:

• 100% waterproof, made of medical grade silicone, custom sizing
• Battery life of two months
• Induction charging when Elvie is in its case – no wires, no cords
• Seamless design with no exposed parts
• Low Energy Bluetooth technology to synch with your smartphone

To use Elvie you simply clench your muscles around it in five-minute workouts designed to ‘lift and tone’. Many women push down in Kegel exercises instead of pulling up, which can strain muscles, but the motion sensors indicate if a woman is using her muscles to push or pull – before sending progress reports to your phone to ensure you are doing it correctly.

Elvie is available for £149 at www.Elvie.com and recommended 3 times a week minimum for best results.

  1. Man, I love the sound of this but not so keen on the price (total cheapass out here)… if I had money to spare then I would definitely invest in this though as although I don’t think my pelvic floor is as bad as it could be after two kids, I’m sure it could be amazing!

  2. That’s cool, I like how easy it is to wear and use and great that it encourages health especially those who are pregnant as I assume it’s hard to move around when you’ve got a big belly too haha.

  3. These days sex toys are no longer considered taboo; in fact, an increasing number of adults are becoming open to the use of these little aids. Not only do they provide stimulation and arousal, they also offer a number of benefits.
