How to Train Your Dragon

This game, which is set somewhere in-between the second and third films, has fast become Isaac’s new favourite and he loves that he now owns his very own dragon.

How to Train Your Dragon

The game is a mix of exploring, puzzle-solving and combat and you can flit between the two main characters; Scribbles (the human) and Patches (the dragon) at any time by pressing ‘L’, to make use of their own set of abilities. Scribbles is the more basic character, unlocking a sword, shield axe and hammer for use in battle. The more exciting attacks come from dragon, Patches, who hurls balls of energy at his foes. As the dragon gets older, you gain access to ice, fire and electric powers too.

It is an easy dungeon style game to play, that is clearly aimed at the younger market. There is plenty to keep young players entertained and Isaac is happy to walk around the map and find treasure chests which contains plants with healing properties as well as the armour and weapons.

Hiccup and Toothless appear in the game to help guide the players, however, the one thing that Isaac was disappointed by, is that the game had no relation to the new film and therefore, there was no Light Fury to find.

All-in-all, this is a great game for fans of the How to train your Dragon franchise.
