“Ahoy, mateys! Arrrrr ye ready to set sail on a rockin’ adventure with a crew of 16 pirate penguins?”

We were sent the brilliant “Don’t Rock the Boat” game from University Games review.

Unlike some games, it is super simple to put together and you can start playing almost immediately.  Simple attach the 3 Masts to the Pirate Ship and then attach the ship to the Water Wave and you are ready to go.

The aim of the game is to take turns balancing the pirate penguins on the ship without making it tip but you have to be ever so careful, if you rock the boat and send the penguins overboard, ye might have to walk the plank!

A fun balancing game for all buccaneers which is also a great learning tool for promoting hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, fine motor control, accuracy, two handed coordination and Eliza did find it a bit tricky at first but after some gentle guidance soon got the hang of placing the Penguins centrally to keep the boat balanced.  Isaac was off and running with the game quickly and it held their attention and had them giggling for about 45 minutes before they moved onto something else.  It is currently the game of choice in our house at the moment.
