Cleaning the house when the kids are growing, is like shovelling snow whilst its still snowing

Hubby and I are chalk and cheese when it comes to the home – he is ultra tidy and everything has to have its place, whereas I am happy to live in organised chaos.

My favourite quote that lives on my fridge is “Cleaning the house when the kids are growing, is like shovelling snow whilst its still snowing” and it is so true. Hubby fully admits he puts the kids toys away when they turn their back, even if they are still playing with them and I always joke that he follows them around with a dustpan and brush.

There are things that I won’t tolerate though. I hate a messy bathroom and the kids drive me nuts when they leave soggy towels on the floor and they all have to make their beds in the morning.

  1. I prefer to be more on the left hand side whilst Hubby is the right. Occasionally I give in hoping that everyone else will get fed up of the mess but I always cave before they do
