The Christmas Sail with Santa Cruise from City Cruises Poole has become a bit of a family tradition for us, as we have been enjoying them for the last 3 years.
We love where we live and the Santa Cruise is fantastic way to see beautiful Poole Harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world and home to millionaires row which houses some very famous residents.
We were welcomed onboard by the crew and the fantastic Dr Balloonman, who the kids look forward to seeing every year for his mix of balloon making, party games and general madcap zaniness and they were all soon sat mesmerised!!
On the cruise you are offered complimentary drinks, including tea, coffee or mulled wine and fruit shoot for the kids, plus mince pies to enjoy whilst the kids are being entertained.
The show format followed a similar format to previous years, with Dr Balloonman making a very special magic wand that we would use to summon Santa onto the boat, however, in a change from previous years the boat sailed the opposite way around Poole harbour and Brownsea Island, allowing us to see if from a different perspective.
We played some party games, guessed what animal Dr Balloonman was making and enjoyed some dancing before we got the chance to try out the magic wand to summon Santa on board.
And then it was time for a spot of magic to make someone appear……..
Santa arrived with his assistants carrying a couple of sacks full of age related goodies for the kids, plus a certificate for each child onboard.
Santa chatted to each child whilst Dr Balloonman made sure they all good a balloon creation each too.
The presents they received have always been good on the Santa Cruise, but these were the best yet.
The Santa cruise lasts around 75 minutes and takes you from Poole Quay, around Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island and then back again.
Tickets for the Sail with Santa Cruise cost £14.40 per person, which children under the age of 2 sailing free of charge.
Thank you City Cruises Poole and Dr Balloonman for a fab festive day out, we cannot wait for next year!!
Sail with Santa cruises are running until Sunday 24th December.
