Changing Rooms

The bedroom situation in our house has always been a little challenging.

When we first moved in Callan and Kian shared a big double and Abbey had the small double at the back of the house.

When  Isaac arrived he shared with us until Abbey decided to venture out into the big wide world and rent somewhere of her own, and then he moved into her old room.  I had great fun re-designing it, opting for a lime green colour and jungle theme and it has stayed like that ever since, despite Eliza taking the room on as her own.

It is now time to think about re-designing the room again and I am stuck.

Eliza and Sebastian now share a room so it needs to be something that isn’t too girlie or boyish.  I think a fairytale theme would work quite well using wall stickers as these are easy to change as the kids grow.

I am desperately in need of more storage space as my little lady is fast taking up more and more of my wardrobe space but the room isn’t big enough to take more than a small wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

The other issue I have is her bed.  She currently has a gorgeous Princess toddler bed, but is fast outgrowing it and needs a children’s bed that will grow with her.  I am toying with the idea of a cabin bed, but am worried she is still too little – it may solve some of the storage issues though.
