Our Cornwall Adventure – Adrenalin Quarry

We had survived our first night in a caravan at Trevella Park and now it was time to decide which adventure we would be taking on first.  Upon checking the weather forecast it was clear that Tuesday would be the best day by far weather wise, so we chose to go to Adrenalin Quarry. Situated just outside Liskeard in Cornwall, Adrenalin Quarry (formerly Clicker Quarry) is a disused Blue Elvin Quarry.  The Zip at Adrenalin Quarry is the UK’s Maddest zip wire. 490m long, 50m high and reaching speeds of 40mph. Twin parallel wires cross the flooded depths of the old …

A Cornwall Adventure – Trevella Park

Panic started to set in before we even arrived at Trevella Park when we heard a big storm was on its way – would it be bad, would we be able to travel, would the park be open? Thankfully the storm passed quickly and there was no damage so we set off from Bournemouth just after lunchtime and headed for Newquay in Cornwall.  The weather on the drive across Southern England was blustery with bouts of sunshine and heavy showers, but the roads were quiet and we arrived at our destination in three and a half hours as we had …

We’re off on our holibobs

It is just 3 weeks until we visit Trevella Park in Cornwall and my thoughts are starting to turn to our travel and packing arrangements.I have been looking into transport options, but car hire and train fares are ridiculously expensive and there isn’t a coach unless we travel to London and change, which seems like a ridiculous thing to do with young children in tow.So it looks like we are taking two cars which, after our Drayton Manor fiasco, I am dreading as I managed to miss a turn and got ridiculously lost with a grumpy baby in the back.  Fingers crossed the traffic isn’t …

Disneyland Paris – Day 5 and Time to Go Home

Our final day at Disneyland Paris and he had to be out of our room by 11am, but we were packed and gone much earlier as wanted to make the most of our final day in the park. Thankfully we didn’t have to cart our cases around with us, as we left them with the hotel who would make sure they were waiting for us at the station in plenty of time for our train that was due to leave at 6pm. We started the day with the Buzz Lightyear Laser Quest and It’s a Small World (again) before completing …

Disneyland Paris – Day 4

Today was the first day we got into the park at their opening time of 8am (for hotel guests only) and just look how quiet it is….. The benefit of getting in so early is there are no queues so the little ones got to explore the Disney Castle, go on the carousel, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Buzz Lightyear almost straight away. The castle really is worth exploring as the attention to detail is fantastic, although Eliza did want to move in! I rode the Carousel in the carriage but the big boys got to pretend to be Knight’s of the …
