With the kids at cub / scout camps this week, I would love to say I have had a week of relaxation and although I did get a couple of moments, both my husband and I had to work. Project 365 2021: Week Twenty Nine

I am relieved to say that our household remained COVID free after 10 days of isolation, although both Sebby and my husband succumbed to summer colds. Work has been a real challenge as we are really short staffed with lots of people isolating and a lack of deliveries for the same reason. This week has all been about the countdown to the summer holidays and I am relieved the kids have now broken up, although slightly worried about covering childcare as most of the local holiday clubs are fully booked already. Project 365 2021: Week Twenty Eight

This week has been a bit of a nightmare. The lurgy has hit our house! We have done a PCR test – negative, but still have two out of three kids isolating thanks to positive cases in their respective bubbles. The 19th July is “freedom day” but I have to admit that in some ways I am feeling uncomfortable, much as I am hoping to get back to normal. Cases continue to rise and some news channels are now saying that if it keeps escalating then we will be back in lockdown in 5 weeks. I am so glad we …

Project 365 2021: Week Twenty Seven

It has been a big week of sport, with the Euro’s and Wimbledon this week. I follow the football, but it does get a bit much when sport is on every channel, all day. We have a couple of weeks reprieve now and then the Olympics start. In COVID news, cases are still on the increase but the government are pressing ahead with unlocking all restrictions and I am nervous.
