A visit to the Brighton SEA LIFE Centre

Shark

Living in West Sussex for most of my childhood, I always looked forward to a visit to the aquarium at Brighton to see the dolphins. Fast forward a few years (I’m not counting, but it’s a lot), the dolphins are now gone and the aquarium has been transformed into Brighton SEA LIFE Centre. SEA LIFE Brighton is set outside Palace Pier and is the oldest operating aquarium in the world, built in 1872 and features 3,500 mesmerising creatures including jellyfish,… Continue Reading “A visit to the Brighton SEA LIFE Centre”

A Medieval Siege at Arundel Castle

Arundel Castle

I lived near Arundel Castle for twenty odd years but am ashamed to say I had never been inside the grounds, until now. But what is there to do in Brighton? I lived very close to Brighton throughout my childhood and teens and have fond memories of strolling along the beach, skimming pebbles through the sea and playing in the… Continue Reading “Family Fun in Brighton”

A Visit to Arundel Wetlands Centre

I grew up in West Sussex and one of my favourite places to visit was Arundel. Not only does it have a stunning Castle and Cathedral, but it is also home to the Arundel Wetland Centre where you can see hundreds of exotic ducks, spot water voles from the boat safari, hand feed rare geese at World Wetlands and stroll gentle pathways to quiet spots to watch Sussex wildlife. Arundel is a 65-acre haven for wildlife in a picture-book setting in… Continue Reading “A Visit to Arundel Wetlands Centre”
