Zippo’s Circus are back in Brighton with their “Rebound” tour following COVID19!

Back in August last year we were lucky enough to be invited to review Cirque Berserk when it visited Brighton and the kids have been asking to visit the circus again over the summer holidays. With COVID19 restrictions to consider, we were unsure if the circus would be back this year, but they are back on the road with the Big Top tour ‘Rebound!’, starring a diverse cast of thrilling artists from around the globe. The tour started in Brighton this week, where it will be on Hove Park until 23rd August and we met up with Callan and Chelsea …

Santa Flights on the British Airways i360 – Review

We are big fans of the the Jurassic Skyline observation tower situated on Weymouth Pier, which offers brilliant views over the Jurassic coastline, so when I found out that Brighton had their very own version, I was keen to visit. Although the Brighton skyline is very different to Dorset, I was brought up locally in Worthing and spent many a weekend enjoying everything that Brighton had to offer. The first thing that strikes you about the BA i360 is just how high it is – a staggering 450ft above Brighton and Hove seafront and directly opposite the old pier. The entrance is …

A visit to the Brighton SEA LIFE Centre

Living in West Sussex for most of my childhood, I always looked forward to a visit to the aquarium at Brighton to see the dolphins. Fast forward a few years (I’m not counting, but it’s a lot), the dolphins are now gone and the aquarium has been transformed into Brighton SEA LIFE Centre. The first thing that strikes you as you head inside, is just how spectacular the building …

Arundel Castle

A Medieval Siege at Arundel Castle

I lived near Arundel Castle for twenty odd years but am ashamed to say I had never been inside the grounds, until now. Over half term we were invited to a Castle Siege at Arundel Castle which was led by historical interpretation troupes including Raven Tor Living History Group, The Wessex Medieval Alliance and The Company of St Barbara. We arrived nice and early to enjoy the picturesque walk up to the castle where we found medieval camps had been set up, complete with tents, armour on display and people in full costume demonstrating how people would have lived and …

Citroen C4 Picasso

A Roadtrip to Brighton Fringe Festival with Citroen

Brighton Fringe festival is the UK’s largest annual arts festival and runs from 6th May – 5th June 2016. Last weekend I was invited by sponsors Citroën UK to head cross country and see what the festival had to offer and all in a spangly New Citroën C4 Picasso. I am no stranger to the C4 Picasso having owned one for three years, but they have brought it right up to date with a dashboard to rival the Starship Enterprise with a smart phone inspired 7-inch Touch Drive interface. There is still the three full size, car seat friendly seats in …
