Bob the Builder R/C Scoop Review

Have you got a Bob the Builder fan on your hands?

Bob the Builder was a huge hit in our house the first time around with Callan insisting on owning Scoop, Dizzy, Travis, Rollie, Lofty etc and taking them everywhere with him.

Last year, a new look CGI Bob and crew emerged to give the show a modern look and feel. His dungarees have been replaced with a hi-vis jacket but his chunky boots, yellow hard hat and checked shirt all remain, ensuring TV’s best-loved builder remains just as recognisable as ever and of course his team have had a make-over too.

Bob the Builder has been a bit of a slow burner in our house, but as Sebby’s interest in diggers and building has grown, so has a new-found love of Bob the Builder and Scoop is his favourite character.

We were sent the R/C Scoop from Fisher-Price to review.

RC Full Throttle Scoop

This remote control vehicle brings Bob’s best friend to life with motorized action, cool sounds, fun phrases, and a one-of-a-kind jaw-dropping stunt!

It is safe to say that Sebby loves playing with Scoop. You can use Scoop’s exhaust pipe to manually lift his front bucket and activate exciting lights, sounds, and phrases featuring Bob and Scoop. There is also an easy-to-use remote control that lets Sebastian send Scoop racing forwards or backwards, and also operates his back bucket for cool digging action. But R/C Super Scoop has another trick in store!!

Have you ever see a digging machine do a handstand before?

Well, with the push of a button, Scoop delivers his sensational “Scoop Stand” – an incredible stunt where Scoop uses his back digger to push himself up onto his front bucket, then lift his body straight into the air and then pumps his back digger up and down, because he loves to celebrate a job well done, before coming back down to the ground again.

I think it is safe to say that this is probably the favourite remote control vehicle we have ever owned. Not only is it sturdy and robust but Eliza, Isaac, Sebastian and even Kian have all had lots of fun playing with him and we have put together a little video which highlights Scoop’s best bits!

Bob the Builder R/C Scoop is available in all good toy shops at a RRP of £49.99

  1. I have a little boy who would love this! He is interested in all things digger! (and he doesn’t mind bob the builder either) This looks a bit bigger than normal sized trucks too which I think he would love (more destruction capabilities)
