Barbie Deluxe Styling Head Flip & Reveal

Barbie Styling Head

Eliza has never really been a girly girl, probably due to growing up in a house full of boys.

Over the last few weeks, however, she has taken more pride in her appearance and is starting to attempt to do her own hair, adding bows and clips for effect.

Growing up in the 1970’s, I have fond memories of playing with my Girl’s World Styling head, doing its make-up and curling its hair with the rollers so when we were offered the Barbie Deluxe Styling Head Flip and Reveal from Flair to review I couldn’t wait to show Eliza.

This styling head certainly gazumps my old Girl’s World as you can change Barbie’s look from blonde to pink when you flip her hair over to reveal beautiful bright pink tones!

Fashion looks have changed since the 1970’s and Barbie has special colour-changing nails and makeup, that change with water, so you can give her a makeover once you’ve styled her hair!

This set comes with accessories you can wear yourself including a hair extension and other additional hair and beauty accessories including nail wheels, nail stickers, hair bands and hair clips!

Each time you change Barbie’s parting, you create a new look with different colour effects and for the ultimate colour specialist experience, the set includes pretend colour play accessories: hair chalk, a colour mixing bowl, a mixing brush and hair foils!

Unlike many of Eliza’s dolls, Barbie’s hair doesn’t stick together and is easy to brush and style. I have been busy teaching Eliza how to plait, although she is more keen on decorating her nails with stickers at the moment.

The Barbie Deluxe Styling Head Flip and Reveal is priced at £39.99 and is available from Smyths Toy Store.

  1. I had a Girls’ World! My daughter would love this and maybe it would stop her doing my makeup!

  2. I also remember having a styling head as a kid, although it wasn’t as fancy as this. My little girl has a barbie styling head and its brilliant… she loves trying out loads of different hairstyles.

  3. We love this!! I’ve actually been practicing my French plaiting on it when the kids are in bed! I love that the hair doesn’t go all frizzy and wiry too!

  4. Cathy Glynn says:

I think any little girl would have lots of fun designing hairstyles and using make up x
